Usyk went from undisputed cruiserweight champ to unified heavyweight champ. He's the Evander Holyfield of our era. Usyk has already cemented his place as one of the all-time great boxers.
While Fury would probably still win just because he's a giant with a huge size advantage, Usyk is still the greater pound-for-pound fighter regardless of the outcome, so there's nothing to lose for Usyk. But if Fury loses to Usyk (which is unlikely), then it would be embarrassing for the giant Fury to lose to a smaller cruiserweight.Last edited by aAgger; 08-20-2022, 09:05 PM.Comment

lol you just contradicted yourself hard right there, you just said Usyk cemented himself as an all time great and is the hollyfield of this era but at the same time it’s embrassing to lose against him? so it’s embrassing to lose to an atg or prime hollyfield?
keep the same standards. And credit where it’s due.
if usyk beats fury then that’s because he’s really good.
and if fury beats usyk, then that’s because he is the better heavyweight.
You’re logic is like saying it was embarasing to lose to prime pacquiao or floyd at welterweight because they used to be 130lb fighters.
or that spence losing to crawford is embrassing because he also small before lmao gtfo

There will always be an excuse to not give Fury his due credit regardless of who he beats.

The fact of the matter is that nobody can or will beat him. H2H GOAT.Comment

Where's the contradiction? Don't you understand how much weight matters in boxing? That's basic boxing knowledge 101.

Fury has a massive 50-70 pounds on Usyk. That's not even remotely comparable to Tyson vs Holyfield, where the weight difference was only like ~10 pounds. With such a huge weight advantage, there's no excuse for Fury to lose to Usyk. If Fury loses to Usyk, then it would be embarrassing for him to lose to someone that's 50-70 pounds lighter than him.
It's a win-win for Usyk. Win or lose, he's still among the pound-for-pound greats either way. But for Fury, he must win no matter what if he wants to preserve his legacy as one of the all-time great heavyweights.
Get out of your feelings and stick to the logical facts. Stop **** riding for your favourite fighter and look at it objectively. I'm not a big fan of either Usyk or Fury, but can look at them both objectively. I suggest you do the same.Last edited by aAgger; 08-20-2022, 10:16 PM.Comment
