Fury destroys Usyk

And then when Fury beats him, you still won’t give him credit and start talking about the next guy that would supposedly beat him
The difference between that gypsy guy and Usyk is that Usyk is a true virtuoso and a once in a lifetime fighter. Gypsy bum is going to get worked so bad. If you do not understand that Usyk is a once in a lifetime fighter YDKSAB.
Last night proved there is nothing that gypsy bum can do that can faze Usyk. Johsua fought a much better 'bigger man' fight than Fury is able to fight, AJ is just straight up Roided up from the Olympic Team GB drug program, coming at Usyk with all that he got. And Usyk dismissed essentially everything and put on a clinic.
What is Gypsy bum going to do ? Fight ? won't work, last night proved it. Dance ? Yeah right, and make a fool off himself again, only this time with the L. If Fury wants to keep his mental health he has forget about boxing, forget about Usyk and just enjoy retirement.
We already know what you’re all about. Fury will whoop him and you’ll say he only beat a Cruiserweight.
Usyk once in a lifetime? No. He’s a very good fighter though. He didn’t beat Briedis in my eyes, it was a draw at best for Usyk. He had a life and death fight with an old Chisora etc etc Yeah people will say fury had a tough fight with John McDermott but that was the start of a career when he wasn’t taking things seriously, Usyk had those fights in his prime, different scenarios. Fury took Chisora’s 0 and made him quit on his stool in their next fight. Usyk went life and death with an old Chisora with a dozen losses.
I rate Usyk highly but he’s not a once in a lifetime fighter, he’s just an elite fighter, there’s others in boxing.
If he is a once in a lifetime fighter..so is Fury.Last edited by deathofaclown; 08-21-2022, 05:54 AM.Comment

if my life depended on it i'd bet on fury as he can adapt when things are going wrong but wouldnt be shocked if usyk made him look clumsy for a lot of it. theres a difference to outboxing robot wlad and bum squad to someone like usyk.Comment

Kronk Fury ain't gonna be pitta pat boxing with Usyk, he's gonna walk him down to the ropes and bust him up.
Usyk might win a few early rounds but eventually he'll be dragged into deep water and drowned.Comment

He knows that Usyk is a quality opponent so it’ll likely be a boring fight. I think you need incredible power to have a chance be Fury and Usyk doesn’t have it.
Usyk can buzz Fury and maybe even drop him but can’t KO him. Needs to train a brilliant game plan using all the tricks in the book, especially body shots on the inside and lead straight left to the body and head. But Fury’s long arms will always be out guarding, and pawing with the jab.
iFury is just a guy with so many ways to win and tools in his bag, very very tough to beat for anyone throughout history. As I’ve said Lennox is the top candidate to bet him.Comment

Lopez-Loma is a good comparison, I can see Fury approaching it the same way and trying to nullify Usyk rather than walk through him. Fury will respect his technical ability, he’ll box cautiously I think. I don’t see him employing tactics from Wilder II & III with Usyk.
Fury can do both
Fury actually has a pivot and can use it with a long jab, it can nullify Usyk’s angles. Lopez did that with Loma. If you can keep it long with a jab and use a pivot, their switching of angles is just kept on the end of a long jab. It’s simple but effective, it’s just most heavyweights cant even do that. Fury could do it with his ridiculous reach.
Then if they do get close, you can wrap them up, lean, bully them etc,
there was multiple times last night where AJ could have leaned on Usyk and big man him but instead he chose to disengage from the clinch. He just hasn’t got those tools. Fury would wrap him up, crank his neck and all sorts.
Fury would beat him. It’s an elite bigger man v elite smaller man where the big man knows exactly how to play that role. Usyk v AJ was an elite smaller man verses a good or very good bigger man.
Usyk is a great fighter. I actually thought he arguably lost to Briedis and he is more beatable than people think. Chisora gave him a good fight, look what Fury did to him. We know styles make fights but Usyk definitely struggles and bigger men really pressure him and have stamina to maintain it.Comment

I don't see Fury destroying him Usyk is too good for that to happen but I see Fury winning he knows how to use his advantages
Be a horrible fight to watch for the casuals but for the purists we will see Fury nullify Usyk skills and walk away with the win on the cardsLast edited by davef; 08-21-2022, 07:00 AM.Comment

Fury can adapt for each opponent. That’s why he didn’t approach Whyte like he did Wilder. He knew you have to push Wilder back, it comes with risk but necessary.
Lopez-Loma is a good comparison, I can see Fury approaching it the same way and trying to nullify Usyk rather than walk through him. Fury will respect his technical ability, he’ll box cautiously I think. I don’t see him employing tactics from Wilder II & III with Usyk.
He has all the attributes to nullify Usyk. As good as Usyk is, it’s similar to Loma, they have a very strong plan A, but if you nullify it, it’s not like they have great ability to change game plans, like take it inside or something. If you have to attributes to take away their plan A, they become much more beatable from that point.
Usyk is not as well rounded as Fury. Fury can fight inside or outside, going backwards or forward, southpaw or orthodox. Usyk has some exceptional attributes, especially circling against fighters who haven’t even got a simple pivot. He can’t fight inside, not great if you make him come forward either, you can walk him onto shots. Briedis and Bellew at times showed that flaw. Fury has all the reach advantage and knows now to control that distance unlike AJ. so he can just make sure Usyk is the one that has to commit if he wants success, then once he commits, he can walk him onto shots or rag doll him
Usyk is not that hard to hit. People talk like he is a defensive wizard and he’s not at all, he gets caught plenty in most fights.
im not downplaying Usyk at all, he’s brilliant but he doesn’t beat Fury. He’ll quickly find out that Fury and AJ are levels apart in skills and mentality
Usyk isn’t ****** though, he already said Fury would be the most difficult fight.Comment
