The way Joshua speaks, it's as if he's willing to go out on his shield, give it everything. But also content if retirement is near, with all that money.

His only chance is inside and we know Usyks inside game leaves a lot to be desired. A prime Derek might have gotten the nod. He just holds and try’s to ride it out.

A big HW that can stick it on him will beat him.

Joshua is actually not bad close at letting shots go
, but I’m not sure he can actually get on the inside against Usyk efficiently enough.

Chisora actually has pretty deceptively quick feet in terms of closing the range and getting inside. Joshua is heavy legged and flat footed and Usyk always stands right on the edge of range, so you have to close the distance really fast to get inside or he will just clip you.

Chisora has made a career of getting on peoples chest and being able to fight for 12 rounds like that if necessary but Joshua wouldn’t have the stamina to do that because it’s not what he does. Joshua overall is obviously better than Chisora, but if he fights with that intensity on the inside, he would be collapsing after three rounds if he couldn’t stop Usyk.

That said, I’ve always thought Joshua should just see this as a five or six round fight. he looked like he was dying at the end of the 12th round and collapsed in the corner last time and that wasn’t even really a high-intensity fight, especially from Joshua.

Yeah I think he should fight in the inside in spots and focus on right counters on the outside.

It’s a tough task and I can’t see him doing it tbh

That sound like a healthy approach. Give it everything but if it doesn't work out you don't want to jump off a bridge. Makes perfect sense really.

What did he think the first fight was, just a sparring session? Just more bla bla.

Joshua is 6'6", with an 82" reach. Usyk is 6'3" with a 78" reach. Joshua doesn't need to get inside to hurt Usyk.
