Absolute Disgraceful Promotion of AJ Usyk 2 Fight

Don't think this fight was promoted enough to be fair. AJ and Usyk deserve a lot better IMHO.

I don't really understand why people care so much about this kind of thing. Who cares if a bunch of people who obviously don't really give a **** about boxing know about the fight or watch it?

The general public doesn't stay with a boxer if they lose repeatedly. Joshua lost last time out and the fight is happening in another country - of course this bout is going to be much, much smaller promotion

Far less promotion by Sky than they used to do. Maybe because they don't want to promote a fighter that isn't a Sky fighter anymore?

For a lot of people, it's hard to care about something going on in their own country, let alone Saudi Arabia.

            1. Promoters received such an obscene amount of money from the Saudis they felt no need to promote the fight.

            2. Half the press conference was grovelling about how generous Saudi Arabia is. Has a host country ever had their anthem played during a press conference?

            3. It's a disservice not only to the public, but to the Saudis themselves who might not have the commercial experience when it comes to fights and sports in general and assumed Hearn and others would promote this event internationally.

Hearn, DAZN and Sky should be ashamed of themselves. I'm not surprised boxing isn't as popular as the UFC right now - doesn't matter how much Dana White recieved from the UAE to host events in fight Island, the passion for the sport was still there and every event (and this was during COVID, mind!) was promoted to the heavens.
            - - No doubt they hire sissy from mars to right their wrongs of what is likely the biggest fight of the year.

            Yeah, right!!!!!!!!!

Who really gives a hoot in the overall grand scheme of things?
Fighters are paid well, no one is complaining,
I doubt Saudis would also give a hoot even if it's their oil money
              that is on the line.

Completely agree. My paesan is an ex boxer at HW and follows the sport, he didn’t even know Usyk Joshua 2 was today. Hearn can’t promote outside of the UK to save his life he’s garbage.

How would you even measure this? Show me how to determine whether a boxing event is properly promoted or not. You're just guessing aren't you?
