Don't think this fight was promoted enough to be fair. AJ and Usyk deserve a lot better IMHO.
Absolute Disgraceful Promotion of AJ Usyk 2 Fight

Far less promotion by Sky than they used to do. Maybe because they don't want to promote a fighter that isn't a Sky fighter anymore?Comment

- - No doubt they hire sissy from mars to right their wrongs of what is likely the biggest fight of the year.Yes, boxing fans will, of course, know the fight is happening today, but everyone I know at work, outside the office have absolutely no idea the fight is on today and I'm in the UK! We're talking about a HW title fight! And it's all so cynical because it's not lack of resources:
1. Promoters received such an obscene amount of money from the Saudis they felt no need to promote the fight.
2. Half the press conference was grovelling about how generous Saudi Arabia is. Has a host country ever had their anthem played during a press conference?
3. It's a disservice not only to the public, but to the Saudis themselves who might not have the commercial experience when it comes to fights and sports in general and assumed Hearn and others would promote this event internationally.
Hearn, DAZN and Sky should be ashamed of themselves. I'm not surprised boxing isn't as popular as the UFC right now - doesn't matter how much Dana White recieved from the UAE to host events in fight Island, the passion for the sport was still there and every event (and this was during COVID, mind!) was promoted to the heavens.
Yeah, right!!!!!!!!!Comment

Completely agree. My paesan is an ex boxer at HW and follows the sport, he didn’t even know Usyk Joshua 2 was today. Hearn can’t promote outside of the UK to save his life he’s garbage.Yes, boxing fans will, of course, know the fight is happening today, but everyone I know at work, outside the office have absolutely no idea the fight is on today and I'm in the UK!
