Sebastian Fundora has an opponent for his plan to stay sharp while waiting for his shot at the WBC super welterweight title. BoxingScene.com has confirmed that the undefeated Fundora will box Carlos Ocampo in the main event of a "Showtime Championship Boxing" tripleheader October 8. The 6-foot-6 Fundora will defend his WBC interim 154-pound championship when he meets Mexico's Ocampo in a 12-round bout that likely will take place at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.

Fundora should run through Ocampo fairly easy, Adames vs Montiel should be fan friendly but I think Adames takes it. The fun one should be Ancajas and Martinez, a rematch isn't really warranted because in my opinion Ancajas looked really flat and got outworked for most of the fight. Either way he was the champion so a rematch isn't terrible should be another fun fight.

Don't let the facts get in the way. He was OFF TV, because his opponent withdrew and he was facing a last minute replacement. AND, Golden Boy was trying sign him to a co-promotional with Zanfer. That's why he was on the card to begin with.

Ocampo has thudding body shots and Fundora has never been assaulted to the body.

This will be a good test for both guys, because if Fundora can't get past Ocampo, it means Spence's win just got that much better, and if Fundora beats Ocampo, he basically beats anyone at 154 not named Jermell.

Two Interim belts because the charlos defend there titles like once a year.. Least jermell has fought decent fighters because jermall stays fighting noone an he's inactive and it's not even hate because I think both fighters are good fighters but man these divisions just stagnate so bad.

The guys a blown up weltweight he's gonna get ran over by fundora in a 3-4 rounds. Just a gimmie fight why he waits on jermell who's probaly gonna fight Tim tzyu next anyway because he seems like the less tougher mandatory..only thing about one champion in a division it can make a division stagnate
