Gone way too soon. An amazing boxer, had he not passed he'd probably be the greatest boxer out of Mexico. Like Ropeydope said if you don't know about him Youtube him. You wont regret it.

One of my top 3 al-time favorite fighters. He was fantastic. He beat THREE Hall of fame great fighters, stopping each one inside the distance.

I remember reading an old Ring magazine article where one writer said had Sanchez lived he could have gone on to become the greatest of all time.

He was scary good for being just 23 years old. Taken way too soon.

Greatest Mexican fighter ever, Julio Cesar Chavez when asked, he said "Sanchez would probably have won if we fought", went 15 rounds with his mouth closed, no strength and conditioning coaches, no nutritionists, no plyometrics, and all of the other B.S. fighters are told they need today, rest in paradise Sal, your place in history is solid as a rock....
