First let me saw I really enjoyed watching last night's fight. I know it was one-sided but Floyd just looked *amazing*. His defense has never been so good.
Anyway, we all know Shane wanted the fight. I saw Floyd and Shane get into via satellite on Friday Night Fights months ago, when Shane first started calling out Floyd. Floyd's response for not fighting Shane was that Mosely just wasn't a big draw, the fight wouldn't do all that well, and there was more money to be made elsewhere. Not anymore.
After last night, public interest for Mayweather/Mosely eclipsed Mayweather/Pacquiao (for now, at least) over a snatched microphone and a few heated words. It wasn't classy by any means, but hey, Floyd said he was waiting for someone to shut him up... and he didn't have much to say when Shane got in his face.
I know Mayweather would much rather fight Pacman, but now he can't ignore Shane either without raising some eyebrows.
Last night was amazing. This is what boxing needs. 2010 is going to be very interesting!
