Comments Thread For: Bakhodir Jalolov Wants Big Fights Now, But Won't Rush His Progression

Bakhodir Jalolov is the fearsome Olympic super heavyweight gold medallist with a frightening 100% KO ratio in the pros. The man known as the 'Big Uzbek' has only had 11 fights but is already being avoided by more experienced opponents in the weight class.

ShoBox needs to jump on a Jalolov-Dychko main event.

    Jalolov-Dychko

    George Arias - Mike Balogun

Charles Conwell (most underrated talent @ 154 imo) vs Peter Dobson or a younger upcoming 154er

Fight Hrgovic since neither brings anything to the table & both have teams who refuse to pay top dollar for quality opposition. Fight each other…

That is not accurate. The IBF title elimination match was given to Ruiz, Parker and Joyce to fight Hrgovic. They passed and don't have a title shot lined up. Before them Mike Hunter jr a top 10 opponent pulled out of a signed match vs Hrgovic. Hmmm...I call it avoiding or ducking. This created an opportunity for the undefeated Zhang to accept the match with Hrgovic. They fight on the undercard of Joshua vs Usyk this month.

They all fought for more money. Hunter got a 3 fight deal out of Triller. He got paid twice as much to fight some dud in a WBA eliminator than he was gonna get paid fighting Hrgovic. Even the Croatian media has blasted Hrgovic’s handlers for not coughing up money for better opposition…

I doubt anyone is gonna risk an undefeated fighter agaisnt Jalolov unless ordered to. A good way to go could be against some sturdy vets for a fight or 2. Jonathan Rice, Jerry Forrest or someone in that mold. Maybe ramp it up to a Highie Fury after that but I think he is gonna go the Hrgovic route in having issues finding suitable opponents.
