Im like a lot of people on here in that I’d love to see Vergil Ortiz fight Jaron Ennis asap. Ortiz calling out Crawford after his latest fight also intrigued me.
But this and the recent announcement that Benn is stepping up to Middleweight to fight Eubank Jr. made me realize something. Since they’re both on DAZN, if you wanted to make a fight happen between them, the biggest hurdle to making super fights happen would absent here. No competing promotion companies and networks fronting or arguing about splitting profits, who’s the A-side and all that other BS.
On the flip side, does DAZN want to risk two of their biggest draws at welterweight like this? Possibly having one of them come out with their market value destroyed?
I say that trying to relentlessly pressure these two until they finally decide to square with each other is worth a shot. Try to create some buzz around this. Given their styles, I think we could be in for an awesome scrap.
