May be wrong and it could be made official any day now but the fact that there’s been no further comment or info after Dan Rafael’s tweet has me thinking.

I wonder if one side leaked that info to Dan to try and force a deal. Rafael has connections but he’s not as connected to Haymon/PBC as other promoters.

I wonder if Haymon and Spence feel they have made a great offer to Bud but he hasn’t signed yet or is asking for more. So they “leak” that the deal is close so it looks bad if he backs out now. If it doesn’t happen they can blame Crawford’s side before moving to another fight.

The fact that Thurman was recently elevated to WBC top contender is interesting as well. They have a backup plan they can do quickly for Spence if no Crawford fight this year while Bud would have limited other options.

We've been hearing way too much of Keith over the past couple of weeks and I believe they're gonna strategically place him in the mix. Something tells me the Skol Warrior doesn't want the fight right now, but most are accusing Crawford of the delay.

Far less of a tinfoil hat than I was expecting. I think you could be right there.... that kinda play is normal.
