Ergashev's opponent is 14-1 but has never defeated a fighter with a winning record.

Absolute joke of a resume... built to be cashed in.
This was nothing more than a stay busy fight for Ergashev, who has beaten a few, and I do stress a few decent fighters.
But like you said Angel Hernandez shouldn't have been in the same ring against Ergashev, they need to match him up with better opposition.Last edited by Boricua181; 08-11-2022, 07:09 AM.Comment

We'll find out in a little more than a week's time, if I was remotely right on this particular fight.
There's no doubt that Lee's has knockout power, but Madera can crack a bit also, and there lies the rub, you just never know.
When it comes to Lee, he has beaten everyone he's fought, but he hasn't beaten anyone of note in 25 fights.
He's also fought 21 of his 25 fights over the 140 pound weight limit, even though he's rated in the 140 pound class, why is that?
Is he concerned about facing legitimate 147 pounder's, or at 5' 10" is he taking advantage of smaller fighters in order to build up his record?
In the near future late 2023, or early 2024, he'll have to move up to the 147 pound weight division, and then we'll find out the answer to that question.
I think that Subriel Matias would knockout Brandun Lee if they were to fight right now, I could be wrong but those are my thought's on it.

I'll be watching Brandun Lee's, next fight against Will Madera, whom might just give him more trouble than is expected.

If Pedraza beats Commey, do you think Arum will make Teofimo Lopez vs. Pedraza for Puerto Rican Day Parade Weekend? I know that's a long ways away, but...

If they were make that fight for the Puerto Rican Day Parade Weekend, wow it would even have more of an impact on New Yorker's.
I wouldn't put it past Pedraza, putting a Kambosos, 2.0 beating on Teofimo 'I Don't Want A Rematch' Lopez Jr., the Sniper would be super pumped for a fight of this magnitude.
What you're suggesting is still almost a year into the future, so they still have to win their next fight, and possibly one more before that date on June 10, 2023.
I have to give you credit on your hypothetical promotional thought's for these two fighters, I actually hadn't thought that far in advance for their next career moves.
The only other fight that I can think of that would have be even more of an impact on that particular date, would be Subriel Matias versus Teofimo Lopez Jr., that would actually tear the roof off of Madison Square Garden!Comment

Anyway that you look at it Teofimo Lopez Jr., is going to have serious fights, and trouble's at the 140 pound weight division.
Maybe not in his first, or second fight at 140, but soon there after he'll realize that a take over won't be as simple as just saying it.Comment
