Credit where credit is due, congratulations Floyd

........Congratulations on beating the hell out of a guy physically smaller than you. A guy who you had to come in overweight to get an even bigger advantage. That was the equivalent of an 8th grade kid picking on the 5th grader who beat up all the other 5th graders. It was a bullying.

However, it seems to may Mayweather may be serious about boxing now. It looks like his money problems are going to force him to fight guys like Shane Mosley instead of Celestino Caballero at a catch weight. Win or lose fighting Mosley, Pacman, or Cotto i seriously would show him so much respect for taking those fights. I honestly feel the fight with Pacquiao is fair and not a mismatch like last night.

I would happily see a Mosley Mayweather fight even if the greater public may not, i already see some disapproval on the internet for that fight. I have to be honest though i think that fight has the chance of being a stinker. Mosley i think has a solid chance of beating Mayweather because of the face i think he can fight him and clinch him all night and make Floyd frustrated.

I give team Mayweahter an A+ for matchmaking. That fight made Floyd look like a billion bucks. Fighting Marquez who was weaker, slower, and less skilled made Mayweather shine like a star. Anyways rant is over lol.

You guys will never ever give Floyd credit. No matter what. Whatever it doesn't matter, in that ring you can't take **** away from him.

But you gotta put things into perspective. Imagine either Cotto or Mosley fighting Joel Casamayor or Juan Diaz and making them climb to a "catchweight" only for Mosley and Cotto to come in at their normal weight anyway. This forum would implode with hate. But being Floyd had a great performance we're supposed to forget Marquez was indeed what he was from the day the contract was signed...A LIGHTWEIGHT? You can say "Well, Marquez took the fight", but who in their right mind wouldn't take a fight with Floyd Mayweather?

I respect Floyd's craft to the fullest and always have, but being a "Boxing Fan" one should look at this as what it was from the very beginning, a complete mismatch in every sense of the word.

DO i give him credit? hell yeah, first time in a while. He looked flawless out there... but my only problem is that he is facing a much smaller man, a guy who is 36 and has been in many wars, and a guy who looked extremely slow against mayweather. He won't be this flawless though against someone like cotto or pacman... I just don't think he is ever going to face them, it is a shame.

If i came on the boards raving about how i dominated a guy smaller than me everyone on here would think im a ***** for not fighting someone my own size or bigger.

Why should he deserve credit against a guy who had no chance of winning the fight? It is even worse that Marquez is his best win and it was against a Marquez fighting 10 pounds over his weightclass.
