I hope so. What I’m worried about most is if he lost any important muscle mass during his time off; that could set him back even further than anticipated and if there’s one thing that Loma doesn’t have enough of right now, it’s time.

Who do you guys think he could fight on his return? Isaac Cruz would be the most interesting choice, but it might just be a little too risky to face someone that aggressive and dangerous; he’s also booked this September. I would’ve suggested JoJo Diaz or William Zepeda as alternatives, but as it turns out they’re supposedly scheduled to fight each other in November.
Of all the options I’ve looked at, there’s two that stick out to me. A fellow Ukrainian named Berinchyk who’s the #2 ranked WBO contender behind Loma and with the same number of wins but zero losses. Then there’s an Argentinian called Lemos who’s the #1 IBF contender; beating that guy would make him the number one contender in 3 of the four orgs and could really force himself into contention.

Yay! He'll come back so every guy with a name in his division can keep shamelessly ducking him

      Loma is the new Rigondeaux

I was gonna say Cruz, but Loma is a Top Rank fighter. I also think Cruz would be too difficult for a first tuneup fight. Maybe someone else, with TR.
