Comments Thread For: Vergil Ortiz-Michael McKinson: Weigh-In Results From Fort Worth

Vergil Ortiz Jr. put to rest any questions of where he stands in the welterweight division. The fighting pride of Grand Prairie, Texas arrived at a ripped and ready 146.6 pounds for his first fight of 2022 and his third straight in the greater Dallas area. Ortiz faces England's Michael McKinson (22-0, 2KOs), who weighed 146.8 pounds for the battle of unbeaten welterweights this Saturday on DAZN from ****ies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

Damn Maurice Hooker can't even make 147 that's just being undisciplined he gets too fat in between fights.

Terrible undercard but expected when you have a fight like Ortiz vs McKinson as the main event. Signs that golden boy is on a budget

Ortiz is lucky Jake Paul got canceled. Paul actually fighting a real boxer might have siphoned off some boxing viewers, in addition to his tik tok followers.
Somebody get this kid a top tier opponent.

This is an entertaining card imo
Besides the Ortiz fight being a given , the other fights will be fun to watch

McKinson makes Malignaggi look like Deontay Wilder. I guess since the UK falls behind the USA and Mexico in boxing they can hold the throne when it comes to having the lightest punching active boxer today in McKinson. Let's take a moment of silence for Colin Lynes (England) and Jerome Samuels (Wales) as they possibly hold the record for weakest chins in boxing history and they are both from the UK as well.

With that being said McKinson does have good boxing skills but he can't crack an egg with brass knuckles. I see Ortiz steamrolling him in under 10 just because he is a bit tricky defensively and he will most definitely be on the backfoot after feeling the power.
