This is EXACTLY what happened in the first fight. Which is why he actually tried boxing with Usyk, which didn't work out so well.

AJ is just too stationary for a fighter like Usyk. He will get hit very easily, and not be able to return fire quick enough.
Rewatching the fight AJ looks so easy to hit. His body is there for the straight left and he has no defence for it. He l

He can step back fast enough and get caught with lefts over his jab constantly. He looks a bit like a heavy bag in there.

The gap in talent is vast

It’a just a bad matchup for AJ

This is it exactly. Once he felt Usyk's power, he couldn't make the adjustment. AJ seems to do best in exchanges, when he has the advantage in either speed, power, or both. And he hasn't really shown the ability to overcome adversity, spare for the Wlad fight.

AJ is great when he's in the driver's seat, but he doesn't do well going backward.......AT ALL.

Usyk is going to run circles around him. If not, stop him inside the distance. And I hope I'm wrong here, because AJ is obviously good for the sport. If AJ does get stopped by Usyk........where does he go from there?

Great advice. LOL. The fight is Usyk's to lose. All these pro Joshua comments make him out to be the better fighter. If anyone is better in the rematch it will be Usyk. He will have more time for his body to adjust to the extra weight. More time to watch Joshua fights and capitalize on his weaknesses.

He doesn't need to come out brawling at the first bell, what he needs to do is manage the pace of the fight and pick his moments better.

Joshua can win this fight with a few technical adjustments, it remains to be seen if he can implement them but getting his lead foot in the right position and pulling the trigger on a left hook now and then would go a long way to helping his chances.

He made pretty decent adjustments in the middle rounds and the fight only became one sided when Joshua gassed.

Joshua isn't a great heavyweight but he gets underrated and Usyk gets overrated, it wasn't close to a 120-108 schooling, and for the first 10 rounds it wasn't an easy fight for Usyk at all.

A lot of armchair experts here don't know shyte about that and yet they're talking! Joshua's flatfooted for a starter! How is he going to move sideways in a dog fight with a southpaw? What are we talking about, ladies??

He needs to take the risks, he aint going to outbox Usyk. He froze up last fight from the first round after Usyk started giving him all those angles and movement. He will have to close the distance and use his size, he will have to eat some shots from a cruiserweight to do it, he shouldnt be afraid of a cruiserweight but he is.

Usyk could have been ***ed if he gassed first, I was wating for that to happen he used a lot of movement but to his credit he never gassed and AJ gassed first and Usyk damn near stopped him late.

He did make some decent adjustments in the mid rounds, no doubt. Firstly, he started throwing to the body more, which he should have been doing since round one. If he can slow Usyk down, he'll be in much better shape.

Here's what the main problems were in the first fight; AJ was surprised at how powerful Usyk was in round one. Usyk knew he had to get AJ's respect, and he did, right off the get go. Secondly, he get getting hit by the straight left and overhand left, and he wasn't used to getting hit that hard from those angles. He was completely confused.

Usyk is bigger, an if he is in fact stronger, AJ is going to get taken out inside the distance. I sincerely believe Usyk could have gotten AJ out of there in the first fight, but didn't want to embarrass AJ in front of his home crowd, and also wanted that huge return match money.

Usyk even said after the first fight: "It was easier than I expected."

It wasn't a total blowout, but 9-3 or 8-4 Usyk were the only possible scores I could give. Giving AJ 5 rounds would have been a stretch.

And this is another thing I forgot to mention; Not only did AJ make some decent adjustments, Usyk clearly slowed down in the middle rounds, and turned it back on the later rounds. He clearly tried to KO AJ in the later rounds.
