Nobody else got the distinct impression that Floyd wanted a workout and not a 2 round blowout?

Marquez looked hurt enough in the 2nd for Floyd to have finished him off if he'd wanted to step on the gas. There were points in the later rounds where I got the feeling Floyd was easing off where he could've put his shoe down, too.

That fight resembled a workout, if we're being honest. It was as if Floyd barely broke sweat for a great deal of it. When Marquez tagged him, it was more because Mayweather wasn't showing inordinate respect for any power Marquez was bringing (not taking away from JMM, because the speed work he put in in the gym did show up in those few instances where he was able to capitalize on Mayweather's careless moments).

Nothing new for Mayweather exclusively or nothing new for many fighters in boxing history?

I love this ****. You're better off shutting the fuck up and taking solace in knowing that Floyd is one of, if not, the best fighters of the era and losing to him is no shame.

Instead you butt-hurt tards run your mouth like anybody cares.
Ummm, can you please make some sense?

Mr boat buyer had to know lettin a LW go 12 would make him look bad. As easy as he dominated, I'm stunned he ain't go all out for the KO.

Both. Seldom is there ever a fight that every fan is happy and excited about. There is always a large segment of communities clamoring for a different fight before it's over and after it's over.

Look back at any champion's resume and look at the time of the fight who else there was to fight in the division or nearby. There's always groups campaigning; always.

I was mildly surprised he didn't put his shoe down when Marquez was hurt in the 2nd. Then I reminded myself this fight was essentially a workout for him and getting rounds under his belt was likely more of a priority than sending that message out to Pacman.

It is what it is. Many of us said beforehand Marquez would fill the role of a solid tune-up opponent, and that's what it was.

I was stunned he took it the whole 12. He wasn't rusty at all. Not gettin that KO was by design as he mos def coulda done it, but that only makes him look bad. This fight was all about Pac. He was supposed to smash the guy who gave Pac close fights. After 6, he shoulda done it.

LOL The Sky Sports guy suggested Floyd had a heart for JMM and that's why he didn't really push for the KO.

Certainly you saw Floyd go for the kill against Hatton when he had him where he wanted him, a guy he ultimately had far less professional (and personal) respect for. So maybe there was something in that.

Dirt its been years and you still dnt have common sense... People like you never learn. Oh well common sense are only for people with wisdom.

You pick a guy who fights at 130 and has had 1 fight at 135, you make him fight at 144 then you come in over the limit at 146, at fightnight you blow up to 160 lbs at least outweighing your opponent by as much as 15 lbs and you still cant KO a cherry-picked guy who looks like a midget compared to you.

Oh well.. common sense is not common.
