Kambosos loss a complete fluke. It was just a trifecta of things going wrong for Lopez. He's a tremendous fighter; no doubt he gives serious hell at 140.

You need confidence in boxing but not to the point where you sound delusional. There is nothing wrong with hyping up your actual accomplishments.

But to fabricate things like this, that’s just being delusional.

Looking like crap vs Nakatani, KO’ing Commey, beating Lomachenko, then losing to Kambosos in embarrassing fashion, suffering a KD in the process, isn’t taking over.

I don’t care if a fighter becomes undisputed champion, that’s not taking over.

For example, on his way to become undisputed, Haney fought Abdullaev, Santiago, Gamboa, Linares, Diaz, Kambosos…that’s not taking over 135 either. Beating two top 10 fighters that aren’t even considered the very best isn’t taking over.

Now if Lopez woulda beaten Commey, Lomachenko, Kambosos, Haney, Ry, and Tank. That’s what I would call taking over. More or less. I mean some fights are impossible, so switch Ry or Tank out with another top 10 LW. I get it.

But beating Commey and Lomachenko ain’t taking over sh/t. Idc if he became undisputed with those two wins. He lost those belts right after that.

The move up will no doubt benefit him physically but it's now apparent his mental stability/fortitude will be his achilles heel. Smart decision to forego a matchup with Barboza as that could've really put a nail in his coffin. With the likes of Taylor,Zepeda,Regis,Ramirez,Ryan,
Subriel,Barboza etc though...Teofimo has a daunting hill ahead of him. Especially without the physical advantages he had at 135.

Teofimo Jr's, mental instability is glaringly apparent, it's an inherited trait from his father, who's even more unstable than his son.
He claims to have taken over the 135 pound division, with only 16 fights in his career, then in his 17th fight and first defense he losses the titles.
Not only did he lose his titles, but he also lost his undefeated record, and got his face all bruised up, lumped up, and cut up, how does that make him the take over, or special for that matter?
It doesn't make him special at all, as a matter of fact fighter who did all that to George Kambosos Jr., lost the titles he had taken over from Teofimo Jr., in his very first defense to Devin Haney.
Which proves that didn't take over the division, but that he lost to another fighter who didn't take over the division, that right there destroys all of that "Take Over" myth bull****.
So Teofimo Jr., lost his titles to Kambosos Jr., then stated he didn't want a rematch, and for those who don't know it he also got KO'd in 2 separate sparring session's by a teenaged Jose "El Rayo" Valenzuela who weighed less than he did a few years back.
Now he's moving up to 140 where he should win some, but more importantly loss some, to the ranked fighters in that division, Teofimo Jr., is damaged goods in more way than one!

You've got that right Kev, Teofimo Jr., is out of his mind, and he's going to run into some real proven warriors in the 140 pound division, look for a few losses to follow, after a win or two.
No "Take Over", just plain " Run Over", and that by a fighter that no one virtually knew, who then went on to lose the titles as quick as Teofimo did, in their first defense.
Remember he didn't want a rematch with Kamboso, what former champion ever states that in front of the fan's in the post fight interview, what professional fighter says that?
