Usyk went from underrated to overrated in a short time.

I liked him before the first bodybuilder fight. He was underrated. I rooted for him. He is typical p4p top 10 level fighter. He is skilled relatively to his size.

But, he is very overrated right now. Bodybuilder was jabbing his ears off and landed some good shots by baiting him. Way past prime gatekeeper Chisora won legit 4 rounds. Usyk is skilled but not that special. He gets hit with ease.

Lewis, Vitali and Wlad would whoop him. Holyfield and Tyson would have a legit chance despite their small frame. Bowe could maul him inside. Fury will beat him badly.

His opposition is also funny. Inoue, Crawford and Canelo are much more skilled fighters than him. They would murder Joshua at the same natural weight class in a few rounds. Or, Chisora.. Just think these guys against way past prime Chisora at the same weight size.. Legit murder. He shouldn't even be top 5 p4p let alone p4p king.

As a conclusion, he is great fighter at CW and good fighter at HW. He was underrated and hadn't big fan base until 2 IQ idiots started to defend him by BS arguments.

He is an excellent technical boxer but not a special fighter, as you put well.

He's shown a lot of lapses against the very limited opposition he has faced.

His best win at cruiserweight just got styled on by an Aussie larrakin Novice.

His best win at heavyweight is a guy who is HEAVILY flawed, and has already been cleaned out by a journeyman level fighter in Andy Ruiz, not by a fluke lucky punch either.

People are so desperate to have "the greatest" be in this current era, they rush to proclaim people ATG or even GOAT status.

Usyk doesn't even have a historically significant won on his record yet.

An AJ, 2 fights removed from being schooled, rocked, dropped and made to quit vs Ruiz and looked scared to death in his one fight in between is not significant. AJ was ready to be taken by anyone game and half decent.

He is laughably overrated and I will be cheering Joshua on to land a big one on his chin and just make a mockery of the whole thing.

I can kind of agree with this. Calling for ATGs is a tricky business.

Just interesting **** to debate, though; keeps people stimulated, you know

His best wins are Briedis, Joshua and Chisora. He lost to 5 rounds against Briedis (even some fans think he arguably lost) and 4 rounds against Chisora. None of those guys are skilled. Briedis and Chisora are more like tough fighters. Joshua ain't even tough.

Inoue, Crawford, Canelo, Lomachenko and even Spence are better fighters than him. They are more skilled and fight against much more skilled opposition.

Usyk is not overrated in any way. He has earned his spot as one of the top 2 p4p boxers in the world. I, like many, have him #1.

Beating AJ is just the cherry on top of an impressive CW run where he beat all of the other boxers ranked in the top 5 with him. Lets not forget or minimize that.

He very well may lose to AJ in the rematch. He could lose to Fury. If he does that in no way takes away from him.

I'd also argue fury is better as well.

I've seen fury fight in various different styles and adapt on the fly a lot more.

Usyk is the same in every fight
