Thanks for the vid! Think it be a completely different story if they ever met in the pros today. Janibek looked unsure of himself there along with wide shots,not much defense other than putting on his ear muffs although he did land a few quick,clean counters. Bek looked more fluid and had more variety in his offense back then.
Pretty interesting in the disparity in improvements between the two present day though. Janibek clearly went on to work/improve pretty much every facet of his game while Bek appears to have stunted his growth by falling in love with his power overcommitting throwing wide, single shots at a time. Something he paid dearly for against Rosado.
Too bad Boo Boo swerved Janibek like the plague. Would've been one hell of a fight,chess match!
