Comments Thread For: Ben Whittaker Pleased Overall With Pro Debut, Eyes Quick Ring Return

Ben Whittaker never doubted that the win would come and in grand style. How his body would react to fighting for the first time in 360 days was an entirely separate matter. The charismatic Brit enjoyed a successful pro debut with a second-round knockout of Greg O'Neill as part of a Sky Sports show from Bournemouth, England.

Yeah the dancing after stopping an Uber driver was over confidence of the highest degree. Most viewers watching that will already think he's a prick.

He'll get a lot of people tuning in hoping he looses. Which is good for viewing figures. We need characters, and in sure he'll continue. He's genuinely a good guy outside the ring too. Just a persona.

Like I said, he needs to step up. Next fight, or next but one, should be Shakan Pitters, in a W Mids match-up. That would draw a big crowd anywhere round here.

I don't why he didn't take a few low key fights when he was in Florida. I'd like to see him fight English champion Joel mcintyre sometime in the new year.
