It should. Beating someone 12-1 would put a lot of fighters on the map, especially ones that already have a strong following.

IE Deontay Wilder when he fought Kelvin Price comes to mind.

I don't see how it helps boxing personally. I'm more inclined to agree with what Juan Manuel Marquez said about these celebrity boxers. What would help boxing is an end to the corrupt sanctioning bodies, the institution of an independent governing body and a better structure so we don't have to spend months or years worrying about whether certain fights will happen.

Jake Paul has 22,000,000 fans that majority scale probably aren't into boxing. They like what he does as a person, many are going to keep doing that with boxing. The seeds are being planted, might take some time to grow, but all the same they're growing.

I love JMM, but he's pretty set in his ways which is OK. At the end of the day, he used to drink his own piss thinking it had some magical effect on his boxing. Thank about that one for a minute.
