To me, what's not appealing is Haney's style. That grab and hold stuff is not enjoyable to watch.

Translation : I'm not promoting it so it's garbage, Where's my cut? Money money money money money. Eddie Hearn quote "i don't give a f### what the fans want"
Tbht, pre fight 1 nobody wanted the rematch clause. Rematchroom started the trend with having to always beat his hypejob twice, pathetic.
Nobody wanted Ruiz Aj 2 we wanted Wilder Ruiz undesputed.
Nobody wants Usyk Aj 2 we wanted Fury Usyk undesputed.
How about Eddie turn his truth on his own dealings.Last edited by Bob; 07-29-2022, 10:47 AM.Comment

Fighters are gladiators, warriors, they entertain, they close out fights, they fight harder when hurt.
haney is just a black guy that can jab, right hand, and hold well. Everytime he’s hit hard/hurt he doesn’t come back but rather holds and runs even more. He has no intention of being exciting, entertaining, and doesn’t mind when people are booing and walking out of his matches.
Guys like Haney absolutely destroy the sport, imagine being a combat sports fan,and watching Haney box? You’d say boxing is trash and go watch a UFC fight.
Haney is an absolute chicken **** coward who doesn’t even have enough heart or pride to fight back when hurt, perfectly content holding on for the rest of the round then talking **** after the fight.
Absolute trash. Just like his dad and girlfriend.Comment

Everyone bi**hing here about the rematch... yet had he not signed that deal he wouldn't have gotten the shot and everyone would have been sh%tting on haney for ducking. Cant win with people. Its one more fight and then its on to loma or if Loma aint available itd be interesting to know what this contract stipulates.Comment

To say you don't like Haneys style is understandable. To call him a coward is too much. Ever since Pac vs Horn, Australia has been radio active. Not only did Haney go to Oz, he signed a Hearn style contract for the privilage. All that took courage. Kambosos is the one who came up short. The home town advantage and the unconscionable contract was all in his favor. I'm not a Haney nut hugger, but he's no coward.Comment

Hugey’s fights aren’t very appealing due to his style where he hugs and holds a lot. The only fights that would be appealing is when he faces a top fighter who can punch.
So far, Haney has fought old fighters, fighters who used to be good, and small fighters who started at a lower weight. Kambosos was his first true top 135lb fighter and he pretty much hugged, held and jabbed his way to victory there.
Haney’s “meaningful” non-jab punches are almost non-existent. While Haney did win the “fight” (not sure if that was considered fighting by Haney), they landed virtually the same amount of power punches, 68 vs 69, with Haney landing at 27%, which are very sad numbers. When you’re so much better than your opponent, you land at 40-50% and you outland them by landslide in that category.
Haney tries to be, sound, and say the same things as Mayweather so much, but in one of Mayweather’s most boring fight of his career, where he even injured his right hand (Baldomir), Mayweather landed 131 power punches out of 258, connecting at 51%.
Haney’s performances aside from his fight vs small JoJo Diaz have been pretty sad and pathetic so far.Comment
