There is a bigger picture to think about than just tonight

Most of you on here pretty much hold an opinion from one extreme spectrum or to the opposite. Tonight i wanted to see where mayweather would be, for me, i thought of it as a comeback fight against a credible opponent, whom shared a common opponent in the sports superstar in pac. I wanted to see if he lost anything.

While i know its the satus quo at the moment to simply repeat and rehash how everything he does is a disgrace to the sport and how being a fan of say, pac or cotto or anyone else automatically puts you "in the right", i really dont care at this point. For me its about looking at things in a wider spectrum. How he will do against pac, shane or cotto in the future was gauged by this fight, by that i mean, how much he might have lost. I seriously dont care about the accusations of him being a coward, or a puzzy or anything else.

While its sad that a great fighter like JMM had to be used for this test, JMM knew what he was getting into, and he also knew that mayweather would have to pay him for every lb over 144, he was paid, he accepted it, and thats really all there is to it.

I dont use this fight as a huge win for mayweather, its a decent one. With him appearing to still be somewhat in his prime, it makes the possibility with the matchups of the future just as interesting as they were in the past.

I see very little reason to think he will duck pac, cotto and mosley all at the same time, but he also cant fight them all at once. I am a patient individual, and i will let the fights play out as they happen. But all of this anger and vitriol at mayweather is almost childish, to the point where everyone opinion has become universal instead of looking at the big picture of what the future will hold for the sport itself. I see very few original opinions on here, and i see more of a mob mentality than anything else.

What puzzles me is that if mayweather is the fruad and the disgraceful boxer that he is, what is there to be gained from your fav fighter beating him?

Mayweather would not fight berto, that fight brings in even less money than marquez and bertos handlers wouldnt let him anywhere near him.

That question I've asked before...no suprise no one could answer it...

And yea this win is decent at best...Floyd was huge...whether size wins fights or not...and I jus think Marquez's style is child's play for Floyd...

Floyd fighting someone who won't pressure him and stays at a distance? O that's a piece of cake...Floyd didn't even look like he was in a fight afterwards...
