I thought Taylor won 6 or even 7 rounds. Serrano had that amazing round, but most rounds, KT was the better fighter. And some people don't seem to want to admit that Serrano stopped firing so much because KT was hurting her in those mid/later rounds after the almost knockdown in R4. The Great Nash saw a lot of uncomfortable body language from Serrano in some of those rounds when she was getting combo'd around the ring.

Taylor showed incredible grit not to crumble in the 4th (I think) round. Massive onslaught she endured. Nash never scores 10-8 rounds without a knockdown though. I mean, what's the point staying on your feet if you are not rewarded for it?

I'd still give Serrano a 40% shot in the rematch though. Nash out.

Come on, you’ve got to be in full troll mode here. Taylor got gift decisions over Persoon and Serrano - and a debatable one over Jonas. It’s totally disingenuous to claim that anyone other than Claressa Shields is the GWOAT.

Serrano got the bag she wanted so desperately in the first Taylor fight. She’s in “I’m good” territory -she will be content to fight lower-tier opponents for decent money and keep bragging about how she and Katie filled the Garden.

Totally agree actually. It's how I had it as well, just didn't see Katie winning six rounds. I think the two are fantastic and am not up in arms or anything. Kind of like you said, the bigger draw is getting the close rounds more often than not and it is just an unfortunate reality of boxing.

Right on on both counts here: Taylor’s tough as fook, and 10-8 rounds without a KD are very hurtful to me. In an emotional sense, mainly.

Also, you’re **** on re: Serrano getting hurt. She was in all kinds of unheralded trouble. Me and mrs P to the J thought she was going down at more than one point.

People just let their biases get in the way of what they can see with their eyes. It’s very sad. You don’t see me running round calling Fred Oquendo the greatest fighter of all time just because I’m his promoter and secretly in love with him, do you?

Nah, me neither. Both next level fighters.

I’m a rare bird on this forum, y’know: prob the only poster who thinks Taylor lost that fight, but won both Persoon fights.

Fred Oquendo may not be the greatest fighter ever, not even in Nash's current top 10 P4P, but boy he deserves another crack at the WBA title, at least the one Dubois holds. Since losing to Chagaev in a close fight, Oquendo has went 8 years unbeaten. People can spin it however they want, but no man born from his mother has beaten Oquendo since 2014. This is just a fact.

We all know Dubois is currently under his table hiding from the real Heavyweight Kingpin, Old Man Browne, who recently recorded the greatest win of all time in his 1 round destruction of Fa, so Dubois vs Oqeundo makes perfect sense, and if they can get Don King to lead the promotion, then, well, attendance and PPV records will certainly be broken. Nash out.
