Comments Thread For: Gilberto Ramirez Expects To Move Forward To Dmitry Bivol Showdown

The long chase is over for "Zurdo" or at least it appears that way after nearly two years. The World Boxing Association (WBA) recently ordered Dmitry Bivol (20-0, 11 KOs), the reigning WBA light heavyweight world champion, to next fight mandatory challenger Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez (44-0, 30 KOs).

Regardless of what some think of Ramirez, he twice fought for the opportunity, and his size, volume, and pressure will make it a competitive fight one way or the other.

Hearn will force a Buatsi and then a Ramirez fight. He wants to avoid at all costs Canelo losing again.

Took him longer than Wilder. 44-0 vs 33-0. Make no mistake he was sitting right over at TopPrank with Beterbiev and got out of dodge.

What's taking the WBA so long to give Hearn an answer on Buatsi?

WBA will deny the extension just like they just did to lsc who was trying to unify and not take a tune up fight before mando like Hearn is asking for

Zurdo fought two title eliminators and is ranked #1.

There is no logical reason for #2 Buatsi to jump the queue and get the fight instead.
