Ryan was boxing well, came out strong in the second and had Tank in trouble holding on for dear life like Huggies Haney. Ryan's inexperience and throwing the same combo 3x in a row got him dropped. A little more composure, the fight would have played out exactly how I said it would.

I think Tank is much more seasoned and experienced at the world level and that alone got him the win against a weight-compromised fighter coming in with a fractured rib. Tank is a great counter-puncher too, but let's keep it real =---> Tank get's hit a lot by lower level fighters and will continue to do so at the high levels which is why he's fighting lower-level opposition or fighters with big ***'s so much. Clear disparity of skill, arguable. I used to be a Tank fan, I've seen him fight a lot, I know what he's good at and what he's not.

I don't think Tank was having fun at all until it was almost over, can't remember but I think I had Tank up by 1 round going into the 7th. You had judges giving Tank the first round when it was clearly a Garcia round. Ryan was landing good right hands. He snapped Tanks head back with a right hand and they even showed it in slow motion inbetween rounds.

If a compromised Ryan accomplished what he did, Tank isn't going to beat the top guys like Loma, Haney, Shakur.
So, a rematch in say 2 years at 140, you're taking Ryan? Ryan will need time to work on all of his flaws that somehow people thought Goosen would fix in one camp.

A well known ending is Pacquiao vs Clottey where Manny was an 8-1 favorite.
I don't care what the odds were, I was confident on a Tank win and I gave that advice to all of my friends when they bet on the apps. I told them it wasn't going past round 8 and that Garcia was not going to land 75 punches. A lot of people had hope that he could win and faith in him, but there was only 1 outcome of this fight and everyone realized that in round 2.

We'll see how the loss effects him. IMO, Ryan is a little soft upstairs. You're correct though, Ryan does need to work on a few key things and I'm not sure Goossen is the right guy. I would like to see Ryan hire Sugar Hill and get a Kronk run or similar.

I've never rated Goossen to be fair and the fact he was only showing up for sparring says to me, he's a shithaus trainer. Even warming up Ryan with that donut pad, terrible.

You should because Vegas rarely loses. It's called The House Always Wins (almost) lol.

Yea, you're a superfan, of course you were confident. Not sure why this is breaking news for you. Everybody that was picking rounds said rounds 6-8, like you're something special kid lmao?

I'm glad you pointed out the mental part. I was going to put a caveat saying "if Ryan is still active in 2 years" lol.

Also, Ryan has everything already. He's not really fighting for anything like his peers so it seems hard to teach him. Goosen, Reynoso, hell, they said DLH advised against accepting the terms for this fight and he ignored it. I can't put much faith in a young guy that knows it all, but doesn't know enough.

I hope he can bounce back though.

140 is going to present a lot of challenges for Garcia with his current flaws. I disagree Ryan has everything, like what?

Reynoso sucks imo and Goossen is a B Level trainer comparatively to his generation.

I think he's got great potential and a little early to count him out just yet. My fear is him turning into a Jason Litzau type.

no, it's common sense. Ryan was destined to lose this fight.

The damage control is the best part.

I've said for a while that I'm not a fan of EITHER guy. I can find old quotes if you like. I don't like or hate either guy. I didn't pick "my guy", I picked who I knew was going to win. You picked YOUR guy and he quit.

War Room, stop talking smack. You're thin skinny pretty boy instagram model got knocked the **** out. Your excuse is now going to be dehydration, weight drained, but hey, it's a business after all - who was the one that agreed to the terms?

The Mexican community is embarrassed with the kneel, they even claim your boy Garcia isn't Mexican or doesn't have the Mexican heart! Heck, even the Mexican Great Chavez, Sr said he won't watch a Ryan Garcia fight ever again!

To quote what Roger Mayweather says, "You don't know **** about Boxing!" - quite like this thread how Larry claimed Adrien Broner was going to be the next big star in Boxing.
