    That’s every trainer.

Every single “great” trainer in history got popular for one fighter, and then being subpar with other fighters. Only time when a great trainer ventures out from training his first star pupil, with success, is when the fighter needed very little help.

Mayweather Sr and Roger taught Mayweather Jr everything he knows, they couldn’t replicate their success with anyone else.

Vergil Hunter took Ward from a child to a HOF’er, everyone else he trained ended up sucking under him.

Freddie Roach did great with Manny Pacquiao, but with everyone else, he was just a celebrity coach.

I could go on and on. But yeah, most trainers are overrated based off of one great fighter they trained. Their reputation is exaggerated.

Canelo fights flat-footed because his engine is lacking. He fights in spurts to conserve energy, so he's at a disadvantage against guys with higher consistent work rate and power (like Bivol). He waited out GGG precisely for this reason, and even then, had to suffer in hell in the 2nd fight (which I feel could've been a draw).
