The reason why is Fury better boxer than Wilder

Fury fought prime Hammers, Chisoras, Abells, Cunnighams, Maddalones. The fought different styles, he was better in every next fight before he reached world level. He is not nowhere near the same guy that was punching himself in the face with uppercuts.

Wilder never fought any tricky fighter, he only fought useless booms before he found Tyson Fury.

Duhaupas was the toughest man Wilder fought before Fury and that is enough said.

It is not just the talent.

Wilder dropped him like 4 times and he recovered each time. He kind of has like Ali-type punch resistance for an HW. You have to factor that when you step in the ring with him. Massive even for an HW, smaller fighter movement and skills(?) and chin. Always thought AJ had the best chance against him b/c of accumulation. Don't think you can get him out with one shot. He can turn it into a dogfight or switch up and put everyone to sleep on win-on points. Odd packet for an HW.

The problem was that Wilder started boxing so late that they had to slow track him to let him gain experience. He would have had a very good chance of losing or even getting knocked out if he took on better opposition early on.
