Shields can be loud and brash but I have seen many of her interviews where she sounds personable, articulate, respectful and very humble. I hope she does well as a boxer and goes far in her career.

It seems to me that there are a small number of female boxers that are genuinely good but there is absolutely no depth in any division. That makes it difficult to make meaningful fights. Claressa would never boil down low enough to fight Katie Taylor or Alicia Baumgartner so she hasn't got anyone to play with except Savannah. I think Savannah & her management team will keep stringing this along because, truth be told, she has as much chance of beating Claressa as she has of hunting down a unicorn.
