20 years ago they used to just fight, someone would get an L, maybe the decision would be argued over but then everyone moved the *** on with their careers.

Now we "marinate" for a decade before anyone will fight anyone else. And with 4 belts plus made up ones like the diamond belt, super duper franchise belt or whatever they call it, everyone can be an undefeated champ in the same division and never have to fight anyone with a pulse.

Canelo has defended the title though. He hasn't been out of the division for over 3 years.

The WBA hasn't called for the fight between Morrell and Canelo, but Morrell isn't looking for the fight at this point anyway.

Floyd doesn't care what the WBA calls for. If he and Tank want the Haney fight, they'll take it. But the WBA won't have anything to do with it. If they don't want it if the WBA calls for it, Tank would just drop his title and move on.

It's not refusing, it's more like boxing is more totally disorganized. Nobody can mandate crap, unless you are a little guy. The belt orgs are corrupt and unreliable. We need a much better system that can force fights according to strict rankings. ONE body.

The bogus belts meant a little more in Oscar's time, as well, mainly because most fans didn't scrutinize them as closely as now. I always did.

I love how Mayweather deflects and tells other fighters who to fight. If Haney or Stevenson were his fighters. He WOULDNT be putting them together. Too much money to make having them fight nobodies for 7 years.
