Comments Thread For: Rances Barthelemy Training Hard With Cuellar For Gary Antuanne Russell

Two-time lightweight world champion Rances "Kid Blast" Barthelemy (29-1-1, 15 KOs) has reunited with his original head trainer when he turned pro in 2009, Orlando Cuellar, for his July 30th fight airing on Showtime against undefeated 2016 US Olympian Gary Antuanne Russell (15-0, 15 KOs) at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Barthelemy better get in the best shape of his life, if that's even possible at this stage in his career.
Because Gary Antuanne Russell is just ruthless in the ring, and a murderous puncher to boot.
If Kiryl Relikh was able to go tooth, and nail with Rances Barthelemy in their 2 fights, losing the first, and winning the second.
Gary Antuanne Russell will give Barthelemy the first knockout loss of his boxing career.

          Me neither.

You actually sold me on Antuanne before I even saw him!

I saw a few of his fights since, and I was looking forward to seeing him again.
This guy grinds hard like your average workman and is a must-see for me.

          Thanks.

There’s a problem with that. Every time he’s been clipped he grabs and tackles his opponent to prevent it from being called a KD. I’ve seen this on several occasions with his fights and every time that’s happened I get ticked because its prevented a KO every time.

You know he beat Boots in the amateurs? Yeah, I know it's the amateurs, but it tells you about his pedigree! We already know he was raised to fight right out of the womb! Barthelemy will give him some good experience, so I don't think he'll get the KO, but win the fight!

Barthelemy lost his hu ger tight after the seco d belt. He didn't have the discipline to for legacy, like Lara, but he ain't no bum.

Russell won't allow Barthelemy to get away with holding onto him in order for him to survive.
Russell will throw upper cuts, and body punches galore at Barthelemy which will bring about the knockout.
