Navarrete vs Vargas would be a great fight - but I'm not sure those looping uppercuts of Navarrete would come within a mile of Vargas if he controls the distance. Stylistically this fight would be a puzzle for both guys and the winner could be seeing the entrance some day soon to the PFP possibly.

In order to try an intimidate Vargas, only to wind up getting defeated himself in front of hundreds of thousands, if not millions of fans watching the fight.
All he did was demonstrate what an unprofessional fool he actually is, and I for one am glad that Vargas got up off the canvas to beat this hyper little jerk.

Good fight but I thought it was a draw at best. Mag was landing the bigger punches and had him out on his feet. In a rematch he’ll KO Vargas easily.Comment

Great fight, but Magsayo forgot that his feet also move left to right. Said years ago that I thouht Vargas was better skilled than Navarette. With the extra weight, I can see a similar outcome.
Vargas needs to stay smart, no letting that arm hang out like a bull fighter... Some never liked his style. Like it or not he's the real deal, but a notch below the top p4p guys.Comment

Not surprised. Magsayo looked absolutely terrible against a one-handed Russell. His reign was shorter than leprechauns.
