No way that was a SD aside from the knockdown Vargas controlled the pace and dominated that fight. I like Magsayo he seems like a decent guy and has some nice pop but his stamina is terrible and he can't maintain high volume punching for 12 rounds he tires if he had more in the tank he might've been able to do something when he stunned Rey but I don't think he could those body shots really zapped him.

I saw he likes to smoke vapes those things tear your lungs up needs to give up those vices if he wants to regain a championship he doesn't like those body shots though and Vargas, Navarette and Figueroa all rip them he needs to use more in and out movement like Pacquiao and combos in bunches instead of landing one big shot here and there in the pocket and get outworked.

So many great fights to make at 126. They can easily run this one back, was a Solid Close fight so I would not be shocked if they do run it back immediately

I didn't want to say it, but Magsayo embodies all that is wrong with Roach-trained fighters. Magsayo seemed incapable of consistently creating his own offensive opportunities. If Vargas fought how he usually does, this could've potentially been a shutout. Magsayo is explosive, but his skillset is lacking.

Frustrating to watch Magsayo. No head movement, zero jab etc he is like a robot with predictable movement. Another Filipino boxer with just raw power.

I agree. Very frustrating. I may be wrong, but I didn't hear Roach give Magsayo specific, technical instructions to adjust to Vargas. The only notable thing I heard him say was something like "we need more of that".
