Theres weight classes for a reason....JMM is coming in at light welter and Pretty Boy at Welter....i dont see any fairness in this at all..penalties or not...Weight Classes are there as a provision...And for those saying Marquez should not fight then if its a raw deal..PLEASE, like hes gonna quit and not go thru with it....would u?? hell no..he's backed into a corner and has to fight now..

i dont see how some of u guys can try and spin this..But the fact of the matter is ...Floyd didnt attempt to make the 144 limit...he just said **** it, ill pay the penalties since im already paying the IRS,Chase and a lawsuit....

jmm is not a junior welterweight.

just because he comes in the ring above 140 doesn't mean he's a 140 fighter. he weighed the same amount in the ring when he use to fight at 130.

and if you're gonna say he's a junior welterweight off of him weighing in at 142 1 time in his career then floyd is a junior middleweight since he weighed in at 150 once for the delahoya fight.

      This.

      It's a Super featherweight against a Welterweight.

The only reason JMM moved up out of 126 let alone 130 was to chase Pacquiao, his best weight is still probably 130 and I bet if he hadn't bulked up for this fight he could still make 126.

I'm comfortable with this fight. i think the weight is not a substantive issue.

i'm excited. i have people staying over this weekend, and we're all anxiously waiting. the weight isn't even a discussion.

        The better man will win.

You all are idiots, this was a welterweeight fight from the start. He agree on a catch weight to make Marquez's team happy. JMM called out Floyd which means he shouldve fought him at the wealter weight limit. 142 is welterweigth so i 146. These dumb ass catch weight mess up everything and now all the haters are going to say that a few pounds cause JMM to get knocked out....absolutely ridiculous. Floyds' will pay his fine and then knock him out. JMM should have stayed in his own weight class instead of calling out the best.

..and applying that logic, then JMM has been a LW for ten + years since he fought at LW early in his career.

                try again.

its a 36 year old career featherweight masquerading as a lightweight fighting a full fledged welterweight former juniormiddle weight champion fighting at welterweight.

I just have a feeling Mayweather is going to weigh more than 146 tonight. Probably around 150-ish.
