Do you really think that Marquez will be knocked out within two rounds?
that wasn't the point of my post, but it's possible that he will get stopped in 2.

it doesnt get much more dominant than that.
that's what a WW is supposed to do to a blown up LW.

obviously Marquez is going to make a more competitive against Mayweather.
how? what advantage does jmm have other than heart?

Ive never trained in boxing. never been to a boxing gym. I hit the bag a little, but thats it. you can hardly call me more skilled than the guys I sparred with. if weight difference is such a gargantuam thing, then surely I should have no chance whatsoever against guys 90lbs bigger than me.
I said skills mofos. some people are natural fighters. they just have that instinct. find a mofo that is on your level but 10+ lbs heavier. i guarantee you will get your ass whooped.

weight IS a part of boxing and it counts, but its not the only thing that matters.
agreed... but they didn't make weight divisions for nothing.

yes, you can easily enjoy a fight even if you knew the winner.
maybe if you enjoy WWE where **** is scripted.

Ive been in that position a bunch of times. knew Pacquiao was going to beat Hatton
yeah but nobody thought he was gonna end it in 2... everybody thought he would end it around the 9th round. that's what made it dramatic and therefor entertaining!

with floyd and jmm... .with all of floyd's advantages and jmm's propensity to get hurt (even by a feather fisted juan diaz), it wouldn't surprise me at all if jmm goes down in 2.

and knew Calzaghe was going to beat Roy,
no ****, cause rjj is shot.

but I was very entertained in both those fights.
the only entertaining thing about calz/rjj was that a shot ass rjj was able to knock down calz. other than that, it wasn't nothing special.

and even you know who the clear winner will be, it can also still be competitive.
hold up, we going too far into the argument... first we have to establish whether or not pbf/jmm will be competitive. IMHO, it wont be. my evidence: FLOYD HAS EVERY MUTHA****IN ADVANTAGE.

if you honestly cant be entertained in those situations, then I feel bad for you as a boxing fan.
    I feel sorry for you...

You know already know who's gonna win. you just want to see each athlete perform. Each athlete is gonna have their moments. ultimately the guy that is supposed to win wins.

you know what that sounds like to me???

****IN WWE, the fakest sport ever!!!! It saddens me that you think boxing is like a scripted WWE wrestling match. that's ****in sad man. sad. sad. sad.

    you should slap yourself.

if youve got your mind set on not enjoying this fight, by all means, amuse yourself. its still going to be a fun fight to watch,
yeah... maybe if I view boxing like I view WWE.

as for how competitive it is, well just have to see how it turns out later tonight.
its not! you already know jmm has no chance.

youre comparing boxing matches to WWE?

      theres no help for you.

Mayweather has a lot of intangibles going against him, and JMM is more aggressive and throws better combinations, and also goes to the body more regularly than Floyd. those things alone can win him rounds, especially if Floyd does take some time to shake off the ring rust.

styles make fights. just because a certain fighter is clearly better doesnt mean that the other guy cant give him trouble. I mean, Victorian Sosa gave Floyd more trouble than Hatton did, and I wouldnt call Sosa a better fighter than Hatton.

I think we just demand so much from the fighters, unlike anything in any other sport. The Ring magazine said it best in their August 2009 issue. "Fight the bigger guy. Fight the faster guy. Fight the harder puncher. Fight until we find your limits, the challenge you cannot conquer. Then, satiate us again by demonstrating how you bounch back from it." We're extremely critical and demanding of fighters.

I'm saying that's how YOU view boxing.

boxing is a real sport with rules and sportsmanship and fair-play. its not scripted like WWE.

I guessin you used to be a big WWE fan that switched over to boxing. that's why you prefer the performance over the competition. that's why it doesn't matter to you that in a big fight like this, the fight doesn't have to be competitive, both of them just have to perform.

Mayweather has a lot of intangibles going against him,
the only intangle floyd has going for him is the ill will of boxing fans, but floyd don't care about anyone but himself, so it's not even a factor.

            and JMM is more aggressive
that works against JMM not for him. the little man isn't supposed to be more aggressive, the big man is.

            and throws better combinations,
I dunno about "better" but he does throw more combos

and also goes to the body more regularly than Floyd.
            not necessarily

those things alone can win him rounds,
lol... we are talking about Floyd here... a Floyd that has every advantage and has stacked the deck against jmm.
especially if Floyd does take some time to shake off the ring rust.
personally, I don't even think this is a big factor.

styles make fights. just because a certain fighter is clearly better doesnt mean that the other guy cant give him trouble.
yeah, but "giving trouble" isn't the same as "winning rounds"

I mean, Victorian Sosa gave Floyd more trouble than Hatton did, and I wouldnt call Sosa a better fighter than Hatton.
hells no... hatton was all up in pbf's face. the reason hatton got KTFO was because hatton doesn't know any other way. sosa knew better that to bumrush floyd.

yep... that's how you get honor and glory and wealth.

we demand much, but we give much...

the fact of the matter is that we have two incredibly skilled guys fighting tonight...guys worth watching no matter WHO they fight. And theyre fighting each other! Itll be worth watching and enjoying, thats for sure.

not to mention fights like Juarez-John II and Escobedo-Katsidis are going to be crackin fights, and are evenly matched.

lets stop getting hung up on details and be real boxing fans. just enjoy the great, intriguing matchups we have tonight.
im convinced that BoxingScene bloggers are sadist.. if you hate floyd, or you hate boxing, or if this matchup is sooo boring, than why are you on EVERY floyd thread?? lol i dont know whos worse, the mma fans, or the mayhaters..

i hate golf. i think its terrible. but ive never been on a golf thread complaining about how boring it is.. since it bothers me that much, i stay away from it. simple.

same thing with the mayhaters. these guys claim to be sooo bored, and so sick, and so disgusted by floyd.. yet EVERY floyd thread that pops up, they flock to!! then they have the nerve to say he's not a draw!! he's gotta be a draw, cause all you do is talk about him, youve seen all his latest fights, and you dont even like him!! its easy to make ur fans support you, but to make the haters support you?? thats special.

                GOOD THREAD!
