Based on his results as a trainer. Compare GGG’s fights under Abel Sanchez to his fights under Banks….and Sanchez isn’t that good of a trainer.
Banks talks all metaphorical and philosophical like he’s the modern day Angelo Dundee.
Look at banks stable of fighters, their accomplishments and accolades under him and tell me what doesn’t make him trash.
Emmanuel Steward taught him everything, held his hand and now that Steward is dead banks hasn’t done a damn thing himself. He was a trash fighter and he’s a trash trainer. Him taking over when manny passed is his claim to fame.
FFS, Jonathon Banks makes a trainer like Robert Garcia seem like Ray Arcel.

There aren't many trainers out there today who are going to be able teach GGG new tricks at this stage of his career. GGG knows how to fight. What he needs is someone to help him train smarter so that he can get the most out of his 40 yr old body. I think Bank's has demonstrated that he knows how to do that. People are quick to point out any and all evidence of decline in GGG, but I thought the Murata fight showed quite a lot of his physical abilities and ring IQ. He's not as fast, but he's just as strong and smart as ever. As GGG said in interviews, he started slowly because he knew he had rust from being away from the ring and he knew he had to pace himself for a 12 round fight. Murata gave as good as he got early on, but GGG broke him down masterfully by the end of it. Murata will never fight again.
Comparing Banks to Sanchez doesn't really make any sense. I could have trained a prime GGG and he would've gotten the same results as Sanchez. GGG is special and he'll show it again in September. Tune in.

Yeah, just as I suspected, that's just a whole lot of hater sounding opinion with zero substance. He did a very good job with Wladimir so what you're saying is totally baseless. Banks was also a good fighter who fought for a world title even if he came up short. He had some quality wins, too. Just because a fighter doesn't become a world titlist doesn't mean they're trash. You're speaking very naively & immaturely.

I also just noticed that you have passed out literally zero positive responses to anyone here, while receiving 144.
What a total, pompous puke you must be in your real life.
Banks aint gonna transform Plodkin, he had 400 amateur fights and is now 40yo
what we know from the first two fights.... he can't cut off the ring, he has poor defence.... and Canelo is too fast, too skilled, and a much better boxer
the fat red kid is gonna lite that boy up like a christmas tree
MFer had his whole ''career'' to get ready for these higher divs. Instead he stayed where it was nice and safe.
Fought a bunch of BUMS and JOURNEYMEN.
If he loses (which I'm hoping to God he does), his irrational fans have 2 built in excuses to use -
''GGG was too old the 1st time they fought ....''
As if Nelo's parents should have checked in with the Golovkin's about when to conceive the face of boxing.
''GGG is too small (gggeezer) ....''
He's bigger than Nelo, though
Top 3 worst fan base in all of sports.
