      No, that's not how these rankings work actually.

      Losing to a champion only subtracts 1 point off your total score. And there is a "kicker" bonus for beating rated opponents in the last 3 years.
      • Fighters who have produced a higher activity level were given a kicker score for any wins over rated opposition in the last three years no later than July 4, 2022. Everyone evaluated was scored for their last five opponents even if that was past the three year mark.
      At the end of the day Canelo is STILL fighting the best opposition in the game according to these criteria.

        Canelo won’t be knocked off that top spot for a longtime. Not if everything continues to be how it’s been lately. With Canelo fighting champion after champion and the others avoiding each other…
