Wow, I thought Bud would gloat on about how better he was than Errol because he stopped Shawn, but he's surprisingly humble here. Respect.

Errol Spence faced Kell Brook when he was coming off of a bad stoppage loss to Golovkin and a near career ending eye injury. And he had just gone up and come back down two weight divisions going into the Spence fight. Its not plausible to believe that Brook was in any worse shape going into the Crawford fight than he was going into the Spence fight.

Spence was chasing the IBF title. Brook just so happened to have it.

His welterweight resume besides an already on the way out Shawn Porter is just awful compared to Spence. I only gauge Crawford by the eye test really since his resume at welterweight isn't much to go by. Credit to him though for ending those fights but Spence is just more battle tested and I 'll favor him slightly if the fight does go down. Much bigger and physically imposing. Crawford though could do more and has more dimensions judging by the eye. Maybe it become a Hagler Lenard 1 type fight. Guess we 'll see.

When you look at spences resume, which fights were battle testing for Crawford? His wins over the Garcia’s were wide decisions where he did not step on the gas. He then has two common opponents with Bud and what Peterson? A runaway stoppage. Is ugas gonna be the separating factor? These fights don’t compare in the least stylistically and tbh he didn’t go through much in them either to be battle tested.

He doesn't have a choice. He's in the passenger seat for negotiations and can't do anything to tank them. Including talk out of line.

Consider: if they don't get it done, Spence already said he'll just move up. That vacates his belts, and guess who'd then be in front? Boots (IBF mandatory).

Thats not the issue here. People go out there way to spin this fairytale that Spence has this superior resume to save face about Spence and his questionable public statements he’s made in the past. So if one were to mention the fact that they have fought a couple of mutual opponents, in which Crawford has out performed Spence against, all of the same people will push the narrative that Brook was a broken fighter and somehow Porter was no longer committed to the sport when they both respectively faced Crawford. But it takes a false narrative to properly discredit someone when they’ve achieved great things. So I’m not surprised.

To taKe your point, Spence has fought Mikey Garcia, Shawn Porter, Danny Garcia, Ugas back to back. He is more tested as far as competition, I think that much is obvious. It is not a gauge on how he 'll do with Crawford but he is more battle tested at Welterweight..that cant be denied.

People say Spence's resume is better than Crawford's and cite Porter, Ugas, M. Garcia and D. Garcia. Two of them are not legit welterweights, certainly not the same caliber of fighters they were in the divisions they held titles (both Garcias). Both Spence and Crawford fought Porter and Brook. Granted Crawford got them later. Both Spence and Crawford have strong resumes with decisive victories. You can't argue that the two are not on a collision course, having left a slew of welterweights on the canvas behind them. To argue that Crawford does not have a solid resume is to say he is not worthy of this matchup. When Canelo took on GGG, did anyone say that Canelo had the weaker resume? What middleweights did Canelo beat before he got in the ring with GGG? Point is that this is a great matchup. We all have our personal favorite. They are equally strong fighters on paper... hence the matchup to decide who is the king of the hill. It boils down to this: both are coming off sterling performances. Crawford dominated Porter in a way no one has ever. And Spence's dismantling and crushing beatdown of Ugas has brought back his aura of invincibility.This is exciting stuff. These guys are at their peaks. This will be historic. And a new mega-superstar will be crowned.

Throw the Ugas fight out the window. Ugas should have never been a champion in any way, shape or form. Fighting old man Manny and winning against a HOF’er who had lost all his skills. Then, Ugas fights the dumbest fight I’ve ever seen against Spence. A piņata defense with no head movement, standing straight in front of Spence who doesn’t have a blindfold on. A cabbie could have beat Ugas that night.

He’s fought the two best welters Spence has in brook and porter. Wtf are you talking about? The Garcia’s were both easy fights for Spence and Bud destroys them both as well. Battle tested means going through adversity that will make you more prepared for future battle, will those Garcia matches do that? Can he lean on that coasting experience vs Mikey? What about the stationary target of ugas and Danny? Bud has fought more similar styles to Errol and has been through adversity with kds and being told he was down in a fight then pulling out ko. Errol ain’t on that

You have to consider the gap between the respective fights.

The versions of Brook and Porter that Spence fought were superior to the Brook and Porter that Crawford fought. Also Brook won the first 2 round against Crawford then got hit with a great shot and was done. That’s a broken man. Porter and Crawford were fighting to a damn near draw.
