Some people are just grimey like that there were plenty of celebrities (like Wesley Snipes) that were well off financially but simply tried to defraud the IRS or refused to pay taxes or thought they wouldn't get caught because you have to understand rich people get taxed a hell of a lot more so some of them aren't down for that ****.
