I would in no way shape or form put Bobby Czyz in the catagorie of BUM! He may not have been the greatest that the world has ever seen but he was no bum. He had some skill and fought hard everytime out. There has been a claim to a padded record for his climb to the title. In his 10th fight he goes against a man 17-1. And through the rest of his career is fighting guys with descent and good winning records like 90% of the time. Add up the wins and losses of the opponents going up to his first world title shot. Their combined records being like 514-156 or a winning percentage of 76%. Now lets compare that to heavyweight contender Vitali Klitschkos resume. Up to the point he fought for a world title his opponents combined records we like 386-188. For a percentage of 67%. Lets see here, Czyz at 76% and Klitschko at 67%. Klitschko would then be considered a white bum with a padded record as well? We need to be a little more complimentary to some of these fighters. A personal dislike for them does not warrant the harsh things that are said about them. We are supposed to love the sport and its athletes yet we say the harshest and most untrue things about them to try and convince people that they are just pieces of **** trying to back up previous statements. I say lets think about what we write before we just spout off of pure emotion, for thats when we make ourselves sound like the ass...........Rockin'

Hell yes, even more so probably.

And say he didn't, whatever.

Look at it like this...scale of mattering, 1 to 10, where does Czyz fall on that scale? I'd say about a 2 or a 3.

Bobby Cyzc I would rate about a 6 or 7. A fighter like Leen Jansen I would rate a 1 or a 2.

Cyzc may not have won some of his fights with the elite but I will give him more credit than you will, obviously. What we are debating here are purely opinions. He wasnt a world beater but he fought the good fighters of his time and came out with wins in a few. Willie Edwards and Leslie Stewart werent world beaters either but they were solid enough to climb the ranks of their time. To lose to Prince charles and virgil hill I would not say is degrading, atleast not worthy of a 3.

You dont like him and thats all cool. I dont neccesarily like him either but do feel that he deserves some respect for what he did in his career. Again not anything that is mind boggling in greatness, but certainly worthy of more than a 3. Saying that he is a 3 is like saying that 70% of all of the fighters of all time wouls have beaten him, I dont believe that 70% would have.

Not trying to be ****ty here so take this one in stride but think about it. If you are the master director, but have not directed a film of any major type, than how can you justify your screen name. Would that then make you a 0 on the 1-10 point system. I dont think so, I think that you should deserve some credit for being out there and giving it what you have. Now if you were to go and in the future make a film that topped the charts for 1 years and 3 months, could you justify somebady ranking you below average? Like a 3 on that 10 point system. If anybody gets to the top of where they were going I believe that they would atleast deserve the respect that would be given to any ham and egger.

Once again, I am not for or against czyz. I just think he deserves a little respect............Rockin'

I was being sarcastic with the 2 or 3 for Czyz. Sarcasm doesn't always translate well in text.

Nah Czyz wasn't some complete journeyman that did this part time. I really have no respect for boxers like Mickey Ward. If you're a world class boxer, boxing should be your occupation, not construction.

I'm glad that in your perfect world, boxers early in their careers who aren't big draws yet are magically given what they need to support their family and have the chance to concentrate on the sport with no financial worries at all. Such a shame it doesn't work that way in the real world.

Whatever, Mickey Ward was still doing construction crap like in 2002-2003. He didn't need to. Chose to rather than focus completely on boxing. That's insulting. If it isn't a world class guy, whatever, but someone ranked and in the possible world title picture should be focusing only on boxing.
