Nah... To me the disappointing thing about this situation is Floyd and his team's attitude. It's very unprofessional and disrespectful towards Marquez, but I still think the fight will play out more or less how I was anticipating before this controversy

if he comes in at 148-149 , it shows he could have made 144 and just chose not to.
if he comes in much higher and he did try to make the weight and just couldn't , it shows how much bigger he is than jmm and how big a size mismatch this fight really is.
I don't think the fight will go any differently than I expected, it just proves what I was thinking all along. Marquez can't even get to 144 comfortably, Floyd is extremely comfortable and has been for years now at 146-148. The physical advantages Floyd has are way too much.

either way , pbf made himself look bad.
yeah. there were a couple posters on various message boards rumbling about floyd and his team disregarding the catch-weight from the get go and just aiming for 147lbs/146lbs all along, which sounds plausible and is a pisstake frankly
If he lost those 2 lbs he would have been drained and had a 2 year lay off, that makes the fight interesting but no as I expected from Floyd another ***** move. Floyd is now a full fledge Welterweight I don't want to hear anything from Floyd stans saying anything else. He should be fighting Cotto and Mosley in his next two fights.

marquez is good enough that he doesn't need a reduced version of mayweather to make this a competitive fight, so i think mayweather avoiding dehydration/draining will ultimately be better for us boxing fans in that we get to see both parties closer to their best
obviously it won't be better for those who are tuning in with only mayweather being removed from his senses on their mind, but for a good fight and all round high level of athleticism and skill on display i prefer that we don't have an oscar against pacquiao situation.

that was suppose to be the damn point of the catchweight as you said.
like oscar coming down to 147 to fight pac. it's to give the little guy a chance.
the whole damn point of making fights is to make competitive fights that fans want to see!
