Because if "debate" is the name of the game, it seemed to me that Smith didn't like the "debate" aspect of the show (which is the whole point of First Take). If ESPN loves to have people argue to make it entertaining, they definitely did not feel that way about a show that its whole existence is premised on arguing.

The last part might be what gets him fired first though unfortunately...the world is so sensitive and looking for reasons to fire people over one wrong sentence.

If I had my choice though...Cypo above said exactly what my first thought was when reading the thread title, “Kreigal drives me up a wall”. Literally I opened the thread to write those exact words.
Hes fine in the pre fight build up segments I guess, but I just can’t stand him at the desk.
Literally every boxing broadcast team gets at least some hate here inn NSB from some posters. Different strokes for different folks I guess...but for me it’s Kreigal. It’s like the guy still wants to tell his pre-fight researched lines in the middle of a fight, whether they fit or not. And they almost always don’t.
Yeah! It's as if he's reading from a script that he wrote and that only he knows. Some of his statements come off as so contrived that it bugs the hell out of me. But the other thing that bugs me is that he says things that are just flat out wrong. And when members of the other team point it out to him, instead of conceding the point, he'll double down and argue it even further!!! When it's untenable!! It's like dude, you're wrong. Accept it. Don't let your ego embarrass you. I've seen Bradley look at him as if saying, "I can't believe this guy; is he for real?"

They're not supposed to be unbiased and they're not supposed to be BFF's. ESPN loves having their commentators argue and debate.

Ward has basically worked from home the past two years and ESPN doesn't give a ****. They're very happy with the commentary team.
This right here. I like Tim, hope he’s there for a while.

and I just assumed Dre worked from home cause he didn’t want to get the shot

I've seen Bradley correct Kriegal and Mark just kept on with his ****** opinion on something, even though it was obvious that Bradley was right.

I do remember Teddy going at the guy. That's part of why Atlas got removed.Top Rank didn't like Teddy saying fights were robberies, this fighter didn't belong in the ring with that fighter or some of these fights didn't belong on tv.

Teddy used to give Max Kellerman **** way back on fnf like he did Kriegal. He used to tell Max he didn't earn his spot to be getting paid in the sport.

Bradley made the comment of the African pro boxer who died on the Berlanga fight telecast and he was talking about MSG smelling like a pound of weed haha. Kriegel thoughts and opinions just seem unnatural, I feel like he wants to bail since the ESPN boxing commentators correct him about the history of the sport even though Kriegel is the “story man”. Who gets fired first and does anybody notice the beef between Bradley-Kriegel?
That’s all wonderful. Maybe find a sports commentary web site that would actually give a sheeit.
