That’s all well and good but who’s to say top rank wouldn’t put that match on regular espn and not the app which has more global viewers than Dazn? Top rank put loma vs Lopez and Haney vs Kambosos on regular espn. Not illogical to think they wouldn’t put beterbiev vs smith on it. Dazn has been a borderline failure with boxing. Most of their global subscriptions aren’t due to boxing.

No sir you're wrong. Many American boxing fans, including myself, have love and respect for Nonito Donaire. The problem is American boxing fans account for about 4% of the population. Boxing just isn't that big anymore in the states so the fighters aren't going to have popularity amongst the general public. One of the best bantamweights ever was Mark "too sharp" Johnson who was black and from DC. He was very popular with the black and Salvadorian DC population but to the rest of the DC metro area he was a relative unknown. Unfortunately in America, because this country is based on optics, the bigger you are the more famous you will be. WWs, MWs and heavyweights will always be the most popular in America. If you are Mexican-American / Mexican 112-126 will probably be the most popular fighters becuase a lot of those boxer's ancestral roots are tied to the indigenous people of America and they are genetically smaller men. There's no racism in what I said sir so stop it.Comment

The fighters on the card have skills and fighting hearts and will provide entertainment. Nothing Dead about that! Too many people care about the politics of networks and apps. I care about really good fights and seeing whose skills come out on top.Comment

Hey Mr Redeemer you just gave a great summary of why Dazn has failed in America. First of all this chart is from May 2019 which was when Dazn was relatively new and well before everybody knew what we know today which is that Dazn was a ponzi scheme. LOL! It was also a couple of months before he fought ol' drunk azz Kovalev so a lot of his fans were very excited about that. Show me a chart from May 2022 and I'll bet Dazn isn't in the top ten or twenty for that matter. Their only fanbase that's left in America are fans of "Jessica and the midgets". You can tell that chart is seasonal because the NFL isn't number 1 or 2 because in May they're not in season. Dazn does not have MMA because they lost Bellator to Showtime because Bellator realized no one was watching Deadzone and they wanted off. Nobody's watching pool or darts and what deefuq is J1 league football. Dazn is being watched in America by about .0000001 % of the population. You can't succeed with those numbers. 2022 should be the last year for Dazn in the states. The only thing MR Usa has are two Canelo fights left. One against a 50 yr old and the second one he will be getting spanked again by Bivol. GBP signed a long term deal with Dazn but that contract is about as real as that new hair sitting on top of PPVweather's head. They told Oscar that if you can manage to get Tank v Ryan, Devin v Ryan, Jermall v Mungia or Boots v Virgil then we will have your back. Then the first thing Oscar the cokefiend does is go out and badmouth Al Haymon to try and pressure him into making the fights. Didn't Hearn just do the same thing about four years ago? It didn't work then and it won't work now. Sorry....all roads run through PBC. HAHAHHAHAHAHA
DAZN is bigger then ESPN globally. Bob is certainly telling tall tales this is just from 2019 which debunks crazy talks no one watches it .
The Battle for OTT Subscribers: DAZN vs. ESPN+
DAZN currently has 4 million subscribers globally, of which around 1.2 million are in the US. By comparison, ESPN+ has around 2 million subscribers. DAZN has grown by offering streamed sports for less than the prices typically charged by traditional pay-TV broadcasters.
How do DAZN and ESPN+ compare in price and content?
Price: DAZN currently costs $19.99 per month in the US, which is 4x higher than the ESPN+ monthly cost of $4.99.
Content: In the US, DAZN currently has live and on-demand boxing, MMA, the MLB daily ChangeUp show, Japanese J1 league football, gymnastics, bowling, pool and darts. Not exactly impressive. On the other hand, ESPN+ has access to daily out-of-market NHL, MLB, MLS games, international soccer coverage, college sports, original shows, and the entire library of 30 for 30 content.
Despite a much higher cost and significantly less programming in the US, DAZN is already beating ESPN+ in App downloads worldwide, according to data from Sensor Tower. DAZN was the top-grossing sports app worldwide in May 2019, with about $11.5 million in user spending, 9.5 times as much as a year earlier. Thirty-seven percent of that revenue came from the U.S., followed by 6.5% from Japan.

It's promoters like this that give boxing the bad rep it has. Fact is weather DAZN, TR or a guy named Momo promotes the fight people tune in to the matches. Don't really give a fu#k who's promoting it, the word will gets out when fights are made that are truly competitive like this one.Comment

what point was he trying to make with bringing up you lots colour? “Racist black fans”….just an opportunity to go after the group he has learned to hate?

It's been said on a few occasions that it was 600k and there was still more to work out. So it's 600+. You've said probably 3 and now 5. If your going to just believe what you want, then that's your prerogative. I'm only telling you what has been said by Matchroom. I've no reason to disbelieve that. If you think otherwise then fair enough.Comment

You're the one who said "no matter how hard you try and promote it American boxing fans will never be fans or women's or midget boxing."

Chocolatito at one point was #1 P4P among several respected American boxing media platforms.
And Mexican-Americans absolutely love the lower weights (as you admit) and they count as American too.
So your statement was inaccurate.
I have no comment about women's boxing because that is indeed a tough sell.
