Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury Not Sure What Deontay Wilder Has Left in The Tank

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is not sure what Deontay Wilder is capable of accomplishing in a boxing return. Widler had a trilogy of fights with Fury. In their first encounter, in 2018, Wilder had a lot of trouble with Fury's boxing style but scored two big knockdowns in the second half of the contest to pull out a twelve round split draw.

Tyson Fury....you're disgraceful. Already angling to get in with Wilder a 4th time.

I predict Wilder v Ortiz 3 Wilder vs Brezeale 2 and Wilder vs Fury 4

      And don't forget

      Wilder beats anyone but fury.

I mean, considering he’s ‘shot’ and was in with the ‘best HW in the world’, Wilder did well to knock him down 4 times over 3 fights.

Admittedly, Fury might well be the best, and he wasn’t in the best condition for 2 of those fights, but still…

I know you are not the smartest bloke around, but it is clear through context that Fury is referring to the damage Wilder absorbed in his last two fights.

Man is turning 37 soon and the boxing hipsters are not as generous with Holyfield-esque post-prime skids as they once used to be.

I’m very sorry that I didn’t believe there’s a global conspiracy to destroy white people’s reputations enough for you.

Maybe if I hit my head really hard, I’ll be lucky enough to fall somewhere within your area of the IQ spectrum

Fury has capitalized off of almost a two decade era of terrible heavyweight fighters. He doesn't really believe he is that great does he? Wilder is a below stellar boxer too. But he does have something left in the tank. While he definitely has suffered wear and tear in his bouts against Fury, Wilder is still a threat in the ring. He can knock out just about every top heavyweight out there. He has a puncher's chance. But at the same time, he can get knocked out by these same heavyweights, because he can't box. Perhaps Fury hinting at retirement, is an indicator that he suffered some damage himself, when he faced Wilder. They both took punishment. I believe Fury is in worse shape than Wilder, physically. If I were Wilder, I'd take huge paydays against Ruiz, and Usyk. I think his most riskiest opponent would be Joshua. Styles make fights. I think Wilder is strong enough to knock out Ruiz and Usyk, without getting knocked out himself. I think once he gets past those opponents, that he should call it a day.

                But he must switch trainers!!!!

I'd like to see Wilder against loser of Usyk-AJ. We would finally get AJ v Wilder and it would do big numbers too. One tune up fight for Wilder first

Nobody can be sure, Wilder prepared with such effort and passion for Fury III.

Both inside and outside the ring, he gave everything.

If he is to do well at heavyweight again, he needs that kind of intensity.

It will be interesting to see what weight Wilder comes in at for his comeback fight etc.
