Carl Froch is confident that on October 17 at the Trent FM Arena for Nottingham, he will batter mandatory challenger Andre Dirrell. Froch says training is going very well. He doesn't like some of the trash talking that Dirrell has been doing over the last few weeks. He doesn't think Dirrell will be able to deal with pressure of fighting overseas in such an important fight. [details]

Dirrell will either grow up and become really good fighter or he'll succumb to the pressure and power. Fighters like Froch bring out the truth in their opponents.
He hasn't proved himself, but every fighter is in that position at one time or another. That's why it's risky picking fights like these. Dirrell UD

Froch's gonna lose eventually he's not good enough to go through the tournament undefeated but i dont think dirrel is the man to do it. Win or lose, Froch will be good to watch. But i dont think his power is all that, its good but not great. Also his chin is very good, but i dont think its all its made out to be either, ie not great. But i like watching him fight because those are the two things he relies on.
Itll take a boxer with a good chin, a lot of stamina, good skills and a **** load of heart to beat him. I fancy AA to give him hell in a great fight.

If he connects... LOL
Froch needs more fans, I think he might be hated more then Calzaghe on here.

he's gopnna take on kessler in the tourny, and jones isnt a real test. Frochs taking on all the best SMWs. Full credit has to be given to all 6 fighters for agreeing to fight each other. Its pretty rare

I do think Froch has very good power.
The thing with it is, he retains it all through 12 rounds.
It's not Julian Jacksonesque but it doesn't diminish from the 1st minute to the 36th when tiredness sets in. He has taken out Brian Magee out with a single shot very late, and stopped Taylor. Two of his best opponents.
That's why Froch is dangerous, and i'd call that world-class power. His only world-class attribute really.
Eventually somebody will hit him on the button enough and get him out of there. If Dirrel is special is could be him. But Dirrell is going to stripped bare of all the bull**** in Nottingham and he'll be facing a man who will be trying to take his head off and whom will not be denied.
Tough one.
