Comments Thread For: DeGuardia: I Believe Joe Smith Has Better One-Punch Knockout Power Than Beterbiev

Artur Beterbiev understandably receives a lot of attention for his power. The unbeaten IBF/WBC light heavyweight champion has knocked out every opponent in 17 professional fights. The Russian-born, Montreal-based Beterbiev also is the only world champion in boxing with a 100-percent knockout ratio and tends to finish fighters once he hurts them.

I agree with this. However Artur has a total game. Smith can hurt him though.

I think Smith is getting stopped. Artur is a more complete fighter. Smith is not a defensive fighter by any means. Should be great while it lasts though.

They can both punch, that's for certain but Beterbiev's punching power is phenomenal for a Lhw.

Maybe, but that's all he has, and it won't be enough to deter the Russian wrecking ball from smashing his jaw a third time. Beterbiev by stoppage (Smith's corner will call it).

This will be the difference, I agree. Beterviev is methodical and skilled. The power comes to the fore afer he breaks down his opponents. He's not going to bum-rush Smith from the opening bell.

The question is, can he do this against Smith? Looking forward to a great fight!

              I agree

Beterbiev has that clubbing GGG type power, heavy hands every punch is hard.

Joe Smith is explosive and has more 1 punch power
