I wish morons would stop saying Canelo was trying to be great. That's the narrative he wants u to push for him. In reality, he was trying to cherry pick as usual, while running like a coward from Benavidez. He blatantly ran like a dog previously, from Andrade, and he never fancied fighting Charlo, either. And he thought he saw something sweet in Bivol that he could exploit, based on his previous fights where he seemed to only have one gear. But Bivol surprised carrot top and kicked his ass real good, and that's what happens when u run from certain fighters that the fans want to see u fight. Amir Khan did it for well over a decade with Kell Brook. When u start that Floyd Mayweather business model of picking and choosing and running bs, u end up running right into a new, fresh surprise ass whipping by the cherry pick from hell

hes back to fighting 40 year olds now. canelos back in his 'safe space' at 168, fighting old fighters , probably see him rematch someone like plant and then the 'old canelo is back', he will look like a monster in that weight class against that sort of crap aslong as he keeps the restraining order on benavidez

No shame in that but keep idolizing your favorite boxer who won’t even fight another top 5 fighter in his own division.
Callum Smith was 6’3” and Canelo had no problem with him.

Further, Bivol is actually 6’0 dead on; the same height as Plant; another fighter Canelo has beaten

Bottom line: canelo’s a hell of a fighter, but Bivol will always be better.

Actually bivol is probably 5'11, since he's shorter than kovalev, who canelo ko'ed.

First off you need to learn facts before you speak. Bivol is usually listed at 6' (I've also heard 5'11") and was either 183 or 185lbs on fight night. For comparison Danny Jacobs is 6' and was reported to weigh more on fight night at MIDDLEWEIGHT vs GGG. So Jacobs, Yildirim, Kovalev and Bivol are all 6'. Plant, Fielding and Chavez are 6'1". Smith is 6'3". So Bivol is actually among the SMALLEST out of all of those guys so you can take the "dare to be great" and "bit off more than he could chew" excuses on down the road. Wasn't an issue before, now all of a sudden the size is an excuse... Canelo is 5'8". Everyone is taller than Canelo. Bivol is a small LHW. Zurdo is 6'4" and was 204 on fight night vs. Boesel. Size is not what beat Canelo. He's fought and beat plenty of bigger fighters. He got clearly outboxed and I'm sure Bivol would be happy to do it for him again at SMW and take all his belts because he'd previously said he could easily make the weight.

It was just about Canelo being overconfident. He thought he saw something sweet in Bivol, he just felt like " well, this guy won`t knock me out, that is for sure, I will win the decision, I always do".

It is pretty obvious why Canelo didn`t fight Beterbiev, lol.

Is he? Saw his height at 183cm, which is 6’0”. But whatever, your point still stands

How do cherry pick a undefeated light heavyweight champion who is 7 pounds heavier than the weigh class you campaign at?

                      Lord, make it make sense.
