Will Floyd even step on HBO's unofficial scale?

I'm wondering if he'll refuse and we won't really know their true size difference in the ring.

    We'll see...

He isn't the type to jump high up in weight in between fights though...

Why wouldn't he? He weighs in the same weight all the time. This is no surprise. I wouldn't be surprised if both him and JMM weigh the same unoficially on fight night, like 147-149

He only had one fight since against Hatton. Maybe Hatton was the one that did not want to show his unofficial weight. You don't know if it was Mayweather for sure.

As far as I know he's never failed to make weight or had to renegotiate a contract for it before either. I'm guessing he won't.

He won't. Mayweather has been trying to keep as many things as he can a secret.

They kept the weight limit a secret because he wasn't sure he could make it and didn't want to be pressured (by having to make weight to the general public) and look like an ass. Which he did anyways, but only to us hardcore fans and not the general public.

                    What did I tell you...

Those that are praising Mayweather's win last night are making too much of his win over a blown-up lightweight. There's a reason why team Mayweather were so secretive about his weight, even after the fight was over.

Size (and weight) matter, especially at this level. You can start praising him when he has a dominant victory like he had last night over a Cotto or Mosley.

Or maybe if he tried to be like JMM and jump a couple of weight classes to fight a guy like Paul Williams. But of course, that will never happen because Mayweather doesn't have the guts to do it. He's content to play it safe and pretend he's the best there is.
