Robert said the same thing when he was training Margarito for the Pacquiao fight. Sounded good in theory bu in the end he got lit up like a Christmas tree for 12 straight rounds.

Now obviously Usyk isn’t as fast & doesn’t have the output that Manny did & AJ isn’t as slow as Margarito but the similarities are there.

I too believe AJs best shot is to bully & bulldoze Usyk Tyson fury style. It’s knockout or bust for him. Problem for AJ is, he doesn’t have the chin or stamina Fury has & those are two things that can’t be fixed especially in one camp.

He didnt do great but what I don't remember is AJ gassing until very late on and that fight.

Yeah he was boxing with Usyk but seemingly taking breathers.

AJ gasses all the time and is usually reaquiring his second wind by the mid rounds.

I dunno really. I find it hard to see an AJ win outside of a massive shot landing

No facts bro. You alts bring logical facts to an emotionally buffet..all Bull Chit aside

Anthony better get angry., be somebody he’s not and use his physical gifts.

let’s see is fast feet and 1 punch power vs muscular adonis who looks lost when people wanna beat his azz

basically Joshua needs to pursue a different career and I’m sure he’d be happy

          gotta love Joshua

Nice analysis, cos southpaw, examples; Usyk, Loma, and Bam Rodriguez, love pivoting to their opponents left, thus taking out their orthodox right hand, and creating room and angle to land their power left.

Glad you mentioned Bam as he is a Garcia fighter as im sure you know.

He uses the angles like only a few, not as herky jerky as Usyk but I think it's still comparable (Loma as well). The size would be way off - it would be like Rocky chasing the chicken - but if Bam is available after his fight I've been thinking why not have him get in and move with AJ just see that angle /movement you are talking about.

My hope: AJ attacks and gets countered and kod by Usyk. This would be the final nail to AJ since he would be beaten in both the possible ways.

I see this playing out 2 ways:
                    1) AJ is still carrying the emotional baggage and reluctant to engage due to the 'what-if' demons he carries in exchanges.

                    2) He figures he is already 'exposed' in the sense people keep mocking him for being chinny - he may as well go out on his shield (kind of like he did with Wlad). Then I see a really interesting fight.

It's possible (not sure how likely) that losing the way he did now has 'unlocked' that self-preservation as he has had months of being mocked and undermined.

My huge frustration with Joshua as a fan of his is this fighting once or twice a year. Ring-rust has been his worst enemy and frankly his own doing. Usyk is one of the most battle hardened boxers out there and not sure that AJ can break that experience / rounds. The other element that really hurts Joshua is the rematch clause - he always has that 'I have another chance' mentality - I wish rematch clauses were a thing of the past in boxing.
