Berlanga should honestly be suspended and fined for this. But boxing is the wild wild west so will any punishment actually be handed out? doubtful.Comment

I'm a fan of Edgar but was left with a sour taste last night. His attempt to bite Angulo and wanting to cause a brawl after
the final bell was nonsense. Edgar's frustration showed lack of control and communication with his coaching team.
Hopefully a review of this fight tape will answer and improve Edgar's boxing skills and lack of focus on opponents
strength and weaknesses.

The writing's been on the wall for a while for Berlanga...and him stinking up the joint in Q1 and Q2 further solidifies it. What I've noticed over the years with powerpuchers is the willingness of their opponents to illustrate their lack of skills or expose their love and thirst for KOs.
We saw Demond Nicholson set the pace by using the ring, using angles and surviving for the entire 8 rounds. That was a blow to Berlanga's ego for sure. Then, we saw Marcelo Coceres expose Berlanga's KO thirst and put him on the deck in the 9th. Again, another ego hit. And we all saw Steve Rolls hang in there and force a 10-round decision.
Berlanga hasn't been the same for a while and I don't see it getting better. He appears to have waaay too much control over his career this early and it seems as though his team (or lack thereof) allow him to navigate things. It's turned out poorly thus far.
They should suspend him for the bite but that may interfere with his activity, which he doesn't need right now. If he's not listening to his corner, then he can fight as much (or less) as he wants, but it won't mean a thing.
Get off of social media, get back in the gym and listen to your team.Comment
